Title: JJ in a cash game Post by: outragous76 on April 30, 2011, 02:41:25 PM Ok - preceeding action quite important (i felt)
1 hand before - I raise to 7 over 2 limpers, button makes it 21, i peel JJ (170bbs effective) x x x - ck ck x - i bet and take it down Now for the hand: I raise to 7 over 2 limpers with JJ, Villain 1 - now in c/o - raises to 21 - he is capable, solid, can bluff but more plays hands for value - very much a winning player - 150bbs Villain 2 - button - just calls with £78 behind -poor - losing player - thinks he is good, but pretty terrible - likes a bluff - but im not putting him on 72o in this type of spot - i think he has at least "something of a hand" back to me playing £185 ish - OOP to both - so we? Title: Re: JJ in a cash game Post by: millidonk on April 30, 2011, 03:01:53 PM Seems like you are playing 50/1 here. oop i don't like calling this spot. A lot of flops will make your decisions a lot harder, even when it comes 1052 rainbow you are often against an over pair.
Stack sizes are pretty awkward, a jam is a bit of overkill, the button surely cant fold and the the c/o will obv snap you off a lot of the times when you are abso crushed. No doubt people will say it is nitty but i believe folding here is +ev in the long run. As long as cold calling 3 bets isn't happening too often at your table. That said when i play cash i come to gamble and I jam it in his eye. it played out....? Title: Re: JJ in a cash game Post by: cambridgealex on April 30, 2011, 04:00:39 PM jam
Title: Re: JJ in a cash game Post by: outragous76 on April 30, 2011, 04:02:56 PM jam Thoughts on buttons holdings? what is c/o 3bet fold range Title: Re: JJ in a cash game Post by: cambridgealex on April 30, 2011, 04:24:40 PM jam Thoughts on buttons holdings? what is c/o 3bet fold range just seen stack sizes, jam is too much. the button could have 78dd here, ppl cold call 3bets all the time in 50/1 cash with hands they "like to see a flop with". if you have an aggresive image, and the CO is aware of that and capable of making moves, 4b/call it off here. Title: Re: JJ in a cash game Post by: Rupert on April 30, 2011, 08:54:45 PM meh i call
Title: Re: JJ in a cash game Post by: SuuPRlim on May 01, 2011, 12:35:59 PM yh i like a call, putting in a smallish 4bet to like £40 would be fine, have to call if he jams which isnt the greatest spot in the world but id be happy enough. Id be 4betting smaller so we can get a peeeeeeel from mr £78 behind
