Weird. I was thinking about him and his pool staking the other day.

I think of him and my money every now and again too.

Forgot all about that, can't belive it was nearly 2 years ago, I didn't know Barry but some of the lads that I played pool with did.

I remember that he moved the staking off thread because ppl were reading it and he was losing action over it..

Me and one other poster staked him on the advice of one well know mod (who will remain nameless) that there is virtually no chance he will grim us.

Alarm bells should have rang when he refused to play Ralph because the "tables were not good enough" despite us wanting us wanting the match just so Ralph could judge if he was any good and not for cash.

But we went ahead, and he lost a decent proportion of the money and then went AWOL with the rest, not answering emails or his phone.

We should do a grimmers hall of fame.

ok let's nip this in the bud. dawn is referring to me and has been threatening to 'out' me for some time. until now i've remained silent on the issue because I cba with mountain out of molehill dramas and out of respect to jack. I susoect, however, that there is a lot of dirt being slung around behind the scenes to anyone that will listen to the rants, so think its time to make some kind of statement. I will try very hard not to resort to personal insults or judgements - you guys can read between the lines for that stuff.

a coupke of years ago I was in a mess in a lot of ways, not least financially. jack, who was a very good friend of mine, offered to help me out of a hole. he knew I would not accept any money from him as a gift. i didnt want to accept it at all. in truth it was easier in my mind that I owed money to businesses and corporations rather than a friend, but jack was insistemt that he had money sitting doing nothing and that he wanted to help. he persuaded me to accept some money from him on an interest free basis with no obligation or pressure to repay with any fixed time frame. he did this for no reason other than that he is a thoroughly decent bloke who wanted to help a friend. he convinced me that it would be churlish to refuse his offer, and in the end I gratefully accepted.

the terms of that gift/loan are, frankly noone elses business so I wont be repeating them here. suffice to say jack and I are in regular contact and everything between us regarding this is totally amicable and cool. thats all that matters to me tbh.

dawn appears to have other ideas, and since she moved in with jack has taken it upon herself to paint a picture of me as someone who somehow pursuaded jack to part with his hard earned cash, and has made suggestions that I use men for money. 'a liar, a con-artist and a thief'. the few people on here that know me well will know how ridiculously laughable that statement is. anyone else - their opinion is of little consequence to me.

as I said before, theres no issue between myself and jack regarding this matter at present - we're in regular contact. I have no idea what dawn is referring to about april.

thats pretty much all i'm going to say. mods - please leave this and any resultant mud-slinging up here - if stuff is being discussed about me behind closed doors i'd rather the facts were left here for people to see. jack can obviously feel free to dispute anything I have said

Ah well, I posted without names for his sake, but you've done it now.  I stick to facts and will deal with you privately regarding the 'April' discussion that was had at the beginning of the year.  I will say that it's been over two years and I won't apologise for being angry as I watch my partner get dragged around the place with excuse after excuse.  That's it though.  Won't be any mud slinging from me, that's for sure.  Don't need to.  The facts speak for themselves.

Still to this day I have not learnt my lesson, ppl suck u in, u try and see the good in them, and they just screw you over, not everyone obviously, I always seems to meet the bad apples.

Will never lend money again tho - If I have it, I would rather give, to make the person happy, than lend, and it all ends badly.
