Title: tips with multi-tabling
Post by: ryecarr01 on May 05, 2011, 01:56:28 AM
Evening all, its took some time but ive finally started becoming a winning player online. I struggled for a long time and was gettin really frustrated as i was just breaking eve but over the last 4 months I have started winning at a steady level. I am currently only playing at .25/.50 with taking the odd shots at .5/1 and I only really play 2 tables at a time. I understand that multi-tabling is a must and it is something I am having a few problems with, whener I open up 4-6 tables I just seem to record losses or at best revert back to break-even.

Any tips or advice on this would be greatly received and appreciated.

Many thanks for taking the time to read

Add 1 extra table at a time until you are comfortable and then add another etc etc

Pretty much this.

You have to learn to walk before you can run. The brain needs time to adapt and be trained to process the information quickly enough to play more and more tables.

Various software can make life a lot easier for this, table ninja and hem really help me out.

Just don't push yourself too quickly imo, it will come but a lot of people do it too quickly and don't even realise they are playing really sub optimally and hindering their evolution as a poker player by doing so.

I watched this all the way till the end.

Excellent video, informative and fun.  Prob just skip to 30seconds if you dont want to see the intro which is a bit rubbish.
