Watched that Alan Sugar programme on BBC2 and they said 11 players.

Having googled it I used this as my source.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-473209/The-lost-generation--How-foreign-players-dominate-English-game.html

Question could be flawed.

this is what I found. also gives 11 players but a different 11 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2005/aug/24/theknowledge.sport1

forrest, jensen, schmeichel, cantona, earle, segers, halle, warzycha, kanchelskis, limpar, nilsson

interestingly neither seem to class ireland as overseas

Pretty sure in this context 'overseas' meant 'needs a work permit', which didn't apply to Ireland.

Not overly quick and it doesn't just say he played for X club and scored X goals. There is reading to be done which i am too lazy to do. Anyways. Keith Gillespie was the claim.

Lol at my laziness. It does exactly that! it says played for X team with X amount of goals. Still have to click on them and make sure they were in the premiership at that time. Looks like he was right.
