Title: Re: SCOOP: Raise flop? Post by: Bully87 on May 09, 2011, 10:26:49 PM Pot committed either way right? Your either gettin max value or going out...I don't think you'd want to be stuck in with 3k left?
I'd be all over it Cant put Villain on much after he's limped. Unless it's some kinda sick trap with QQ or a nice turn for them with TT? Title: Re: SCOOP: Raise flop? Post by: redarmi on May 09, 2011, 11:55:47 PM I think you played it fine. Hard to know what he could limp-call pre with and then bet flop and call a reraise on the turn with that he then wants to jam the river with. QQ seems really unlikely unless he is really bad as he would basically have misplayed every street. 77/TT could play this way i suppose but seems a bit weak to play pre with a hand as good as TT. QTo is a possibility as are some combos like QhKh/5h6h. If I had to weight his range i would say that QT/77 are the biggest part. I guess he has the flush occasionally but it is very hard for you to put him on it similarly J9 seems so unlikely that I think you have to think you are good and if he has it then.....meh. Incidentally I wrote this knowing the result........MEH!!!!!
Title: Re: SCOOP: Raise flop? Post by: piestack on May 10, 2011, 01:44:39 PM they almost always have it when they bet like that.
usually qhxh and sometimes 56 Title: Re: SCOOP: Raise flop? Post by: AlexMartin on May 10, 2011, 02:20:46 PM hes kinda handcuffed you on turn and i think jam is better. You give too many hands a good price with a clickback and he isnt deep enough to have much percieved FE. Add to that not many hearts in the first place, so not really many strong draws and i think i like flat turn>jam>raise small.
Title: Re: SCOOP: Raise flop? Post by: cambridgealex on May 10, 2011, 02:27:46 PM Ok cool. Just felt he had qx a bunch here and might fold to a jam. But at the 5dollar level I guess they're not folding top pair.
How about raising the flop? Title: Re: SCOOP: Raise flop? Post by: George2Loose on May 10, 2011, 03:49:19 PM Ok cool. Just felt he had qx a bunch here and might fold to a jam. But at the 5dollar level I guess they're not folding top pair. How about raising the flop? Think if u have a ridic image then just raise flop. I assume you'd been reasonably active? Title: Re: SCOOP: Raise flop? Post by: Mondeoman on May 10, 2011, 07:47:17 PM Flat the river - any 2 pair hand thats calling the river raise is prob getting it on the turn so think when he calls raise youre beat more than half the time. Apart from that played fine - i might raise a little more on the turn just because of the drawy board but i wouldnt shove - you want to keep him in the hand esp as a lot of his range is drawing dead/slim.
