10:50 a.m. PDT: Stewart is touching base on their sponsorship deals, which include extensions with Jack Link's Beef Jerky, Red Bull, Bicycle Playing Cards, Klipsch Audio, and a shift from Miller's Milwaukee's Best brand to their more popular Miller Lite brand. They've also announced a new sponsorship deal with Dearfoam Slippers, which includes a free pair of slippers when you register for the Main Event.

It just gets better & better. Bookmakers have raised the entrants line to 7,000.

10:56 a.m. PDT: What is the policy on logos, namely UB, PokerStars, and Full Tilt. Answer: WSOP officials believe this is an issue already taking care of itself on the site's side, likening wearing a logo to wearing a fur coat at a PETA convention.

Changes in the Poker Hall of Fame: A "Chip Reese Rule" will be implemented in that each nominee must be at least 40 years old; in addition, open nominations will still be held, but a larger panel will play a more in-depth role.

Loving this new rule, people like me are obviously way more deserving of this than the likes of Annette Obrestad, Jake Cody and Tom Dwan.   

What price there isn't a single person who can qualify for the hall of fame at the final table of this year's main eventy?

To be fair, being on WSOPME FT is not really  a criteria for induction into the HOF

lol rule. so if phil ivey was to die in the next 5 years he could never go in the hof?

It is a ridiculous rule.  If they had that rule in the NFL/NBA HoF then it would have about three members.  Don't see why poker has to be any different.  I have never played the wsop but it does seem lke a bit of a circus tese days with Harrahs selling out the event to the highest bidders yet the players are still required to pay reg fees and instead of adding money the sponsors give you a pair of slippers......a pair of slippers FFS!!!!  Wish someone would organise a boycott tbh.

-1 ...... 42 this year and await my nomination. Sad fact is I got married during the wsop and hence can't get to go coz last year was my first wedding anniversary and this year is my 2nd and next year will be my 3rd etc etc etc. My own dumb fault and she is the mother of my 3 kids tho
