Title: Re: qq in bb v muppet in sb Post by: WotRTheChances on May 16, 2011, 12:35:31 PM I bet the turn to check behind on the river. Getting value from XhXh, PPs, straight draws (assuming he is tez, gutshots etc.) You can bet 4k here and the size of the pot is less than checking behind to call a river bet almost 100% of the time. This is unless you think villain would be floating/calling with a weak draw on the flop and will bluff the riv on this board.
Generally i'm betting the turn or checking and giving up here. I dont mind your play, but it leads to this scenario on the river a lot, where it's a bit of a guessing game. Title: Re: qq in bb v muppet in sb Post by: SuuPRlim on May 16, 2011, 02:28:17 PM this is the worst spot in the world for him to be bluffing, and the easiest spot in the world to Vbet a ACE.
so id fold. the only hands you beat are missed reds and the combo's of those are fairly low. Kh Qh/ Qh Jh/ Jh Th / Jh 8h / Qh 7h / Qh 8h / Kh 7h/ Kh 8h / 4h 3h / 7h 4h and its still dubious if he'd play half of those hands like this p/f. whereas I could ratle of a billion combo's of AX/78/99/66/5X he could have. I think your line is exactly fine, I dont like betting the turn that much but with your read on him being an inferior player, perhaps he calls with some 9T/J9 kinda hands so perhaps merit.
