Post by: freak on June 13, 2005, 12:59:35 PM
Ok ok i have kept us juice free for as long as i can
The powers that be have decided that we are charging a registration fee as of the 50 comp at the end of the month on Wed 29th June 2005.
believe the phrase ' well why the F*** shouldnt we every other F***** is doing it' was used at some point and ya just cant argue with logic like that can ya.

nice as it was to have juice free play, i think even the most optimistic of person must have known that it was never going to last. Shame, but "thats life" as some toothy old woman used to say on the tv :)

whats it going to be craig? - 10%
i agree that this was innevitable but Sheffield is cracking value anyway.  You get a free car park, where you are absolutely guarenteed a space and the valets (and here's a novel concept) bring you the drink you want at its normal serving temparature and guess what?...  they do this more than once in 10 hours!!!

see you soon mate - look forward to giving you my 50+5

I have never begrudged casino's their pound of flesh, and Sheffield is one of my favourite venues, but if we did'nt moan about 10%, they would charge us 20%

good luck Craig

see you soon

Tom

Am i missing something?
Everyone keeps going on about free parking at such and such a casino, does this mean that some casinos actually charge you??!!

Nottingham charge 2.
I busted out the comp the other week and went to the reception to pay.  I only had a 20 note and gave it to the newbie on reception.  he promptly declared "i can't change that, would you mid going back inside and getting some change" - as i had just busted out (won't bore you with the details but it was a huge pot where i was a 80% favourite!!) i wasn't in the mood for this conversation at all.  I went to my back pocket and fished out all the change i had (it was 1.70).  I said to the guy "look mate i aint going back inside there (meaning the main casino room) tonight, here's 1.70, either let me off the 30p or i'll bring it you in another night - i do come here 3 tinmes a week and always stump up my 2".  He said that there was nothing he could do and that i would have to go and change the 20. - i even looked at the tip tray on reception and told him to take 30p out of that and i'll give him a quid the  next time i was in but he wouldn't budge!!! - now how small minded is that!

sorry - rant over but yes they do charge parking in a lot of casinos so sheffield is a welcome change.

That is a bit daft, do they own the car park or do they have to pay another firm for it's use?
The broadway carpark is owned by another firm but they pay it for you  ;D
Guess they wanna keep the customers satisfied.

It's an NCP. the first time I used it I didn't know they validated parking so ended up costing me a fortune.
