Fergie can realistically expect the possession stats to be exactly as they were vs Barca and conclude Berbatov wont bring much to the table in such a game. He's no Park Ji Sung with his off the ball work imo. Maybe Berba didn't take Hernadez getting the nod very well so didn't get the bench either. Either way Berbatov would never have had any impact on the sort of game it was so good call by SAF. Maybe he goes back to spurs if Harry sniffs a bargain or back to Germany.
