At this level a lot of people (probably most?) will be more than happy to get it in with a bare 7 here and obv PPs >77 are getting it in on the turn too. Flatting the turn and making a big jam onthe river screams quads to me, that said, a lot of people in $10 comps wont be able to fold a lot of boats here. The way you played it is fine too, I don't always play this spot the same way.

Title: Re: Playing Turn Quads Post by: bhoywonder on May 29, 2011, 11:08:19 PM Raise turn with the aim of pot committing him....either now or with any river
Title: Re: Playing Turn Quads Post by: cambridgealex on May 29, 2011, 11:14:10 PM Even if the river gives a straight flush possibilty?
Title: Re: Playing Turn Quads Post by: bhoywonder on May 29, 2011, 11:27:03 PM Even if the river gives a straight flush possibilty? You young uns play on another level obv....I never thought of that..Hmmmm Title: Re: Playing Turn Quads Post by: SuuPRlim on May 30, 2011, 01:43:35 PM problem here is no1 ever bluffs i this spot.
and you're value range is pretty thin so you shouldnt ever get paid rele, not ur fault just the way the board is....I think a small raise on the turn might be optimal as that way MAYBE your value range is a touch wider than an A and you might have a bluff or two, but its all pretty unlikely Title: Re: Playing Turn Quads Post by: muckthenuts on May 31, 2011, 12:55:33 PM I'd fold pre. Post i'd play the same. We have the nizzles so there's a very good chance he's straight up bluffing here moreso than he has 7+ so i'm not shutting him out on the turn when we have the hand locked up. River i'd jam as simply if a random in a $10 is calling a bet here he's calling anything, so there's no need to build the pot ott. Also i don't agree that this line "screams quads", it's very difficult to rep quads.
