I'd rather bet riv - he could bluff raise and certainly call.  Cant see what he can have that we beat that calls our checkraise.

Not sure why you would ever not bet the turn when you pick up so much equity vs his range - enough equity to comfortably call/3bet dependant on reads


As played I like the river check because he'll always value bet Tx here and probably slightly worse

It was a friends hand and he was going for a c/r on the turn to commit/call.

Dan, how different is this to the spot in the walsall cashgame where I barrelled again on the board pairing turn card cos it gave me a flush draw?  Kx44 iirc. U said it was dead spewy. I know he has a ton more equity in this spot with 2overs and a gutter, but chances of villain folding on this turn card are pretty small right? So without a value hand it makes it a slightly spewy barrel? Or do we have so much equity that he only needs to fold a small%?
