Title: Big Game V on Sky Sports Post by: Matchroom Sport on June 06, 2011, 01:17:24 PM The partyPoker.com The Big Game V begins on Sky Sports on Tuesday
Viffer, Schwartz, Devilfish and Channing feature in the opening show The first instalment of the PartyPoker.com Big Game V begins at 11pm on Sky Sports 2 and HD2 on Tuesday night (June 7) with a host of star names kicking off the 48-hour cash game. Nottingham’s Dusk til Dawn casino hosts the fifth edition of the most talked about TV cash game and the big winner from the fourth edition of the show, David “Viffer” Peat, returns to try to take down some of poker’s hottest stars. Joining Viffer in the first of a 20 week run of the show are TV favourites Luke “Full Flush” Schwartz, David “Devilfish” Ulliot and Neil Channing, Norwegian star Annette Obrestad, local man and World Open IV winner Sam Trickett, Hollywood pro Jennifer Tilly and Frenchman Bruno Fitoussi. There’s a PartyPoker.com qualifier at the table too, and to start with Ryan Smith is mixing it with the big guns. The opening two hour show of the series is the perfect taster of things to come as Tony G, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Roland De Wolfe, Roby Young and Toby Lewis all enter the fray. The players come to the table with walk-on music and again, there are player eliminations every four hours, with only the PartyPoker.com online qualifier immune from getting the hook from the table. Every other elimination vote was cast by the public, who for the first time were able to watch the action live with hole cards and commentary on PokerNews.com. And those left at the table had the carrot of the PokerNews pot too – one hand of action every four hours with £500 added to the pot.
