Title: 26 winning bets in a row...
Post by: sovietsong on June 07, 2011, 04:21:22 PM
has anybody seen this?

"1200: The William Hill 'megapunter' who has had 26 consecutive winning bets bringing him - so far - a profit of £161,000 has vowed to make his 27th wager his last.

That bet is a £120,000 punt on Novak Djokovic to beat Roger Federer tomorrow at 1/3, meaning victory would take his total winnings past the £200,000 mark while defeat would leave him still £41,000 to the good.

Hills spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "The gambler, who appeared as if from nowhere on March 27 and placed his first bet of £8400, has staked a total of £1.8million during the course of his incredible winning run. The great majority of his bets have been on tennis - most of them involving Djokovic - but he has also gambled successfully on boxing, cage fighting - and, bizarrely enough, curling."

The fact that Hills will lay him a six figure bet when anyone that shows any signs of having more brain cells than a plant struggles to get three figures on with them suggests this punter may not be the sharpest tool in the box in their opinion......either that or Graham Sharpe is making up stories again!!!!

Could be just a publicity stunt I guess. Still 26 in a row is pretty impressive!
