Title: Help Blonde Updates Staking Request
Post by: geordieneil on June 13, 2011, 06:13:31 PM
Who?       me/blonde updates

Why?       Blonde updates, could do with the help, and i'm on bedrest for the next week and very bored, and hey u might make a few quid

Proposal    Looking for $500 of staking, to play $500 worth of small/micro mtt's over the next week buy ins between $3.30-$11.00, some $5 rb's with max 1r1a, possibly 90/180 mans........all games on pokerstars

What's in it for the stakers?    what ever the balance after the $500 is played, stakers get stakeback first, then 65% of any profit, blonde live updates will receive 25% of profit and 10% for me (for my time :) ) if my cut was less than $100 i will also donate any of my share to the update fund

i will post every tourney and finishing positions, and interesting hands. will play all tourni's within 1 week, hopefully around 70-100 mtt's

would prefer min 5% chunks...

will start asap if enough interest

flame away

pleno1 10% PAID ($25)
redsimon 20% PAID ($50)
Nico29 20% PAID ($50)
geordieneil 30% PAID   ($75)
Steve Swift 10% PAID ($25)
Claw75 10% PAID ($25)

STARTING ROLL $250, WILL BE PLAYING MORE SMALLER BUY INS TO GET DECENT VOLUME

ok, not too much interest, nevermind i thought i was trying to do blonde a favour..........the updates are possibly the best thing on blonde, and i personally would hate to see them dissappear.

if no one else minds i'll put in 25% myself ($125) and i will leave it till sunday, to see if anyone else wants to invest.

if no further interest, as long as the others are happy i will give it a go with the $250 and adjust the % accordingly
if all are happy i'll start it from monday

regards

  N

Just to avoid misunderstandings Neil, I'd post your schedule before you start playing em

Just to avoid misunderstandings Neil, I'd post your schedule before you start playing em

tbf Cos that would just make things complicated and too much work for me, i will only have 4 games running max so i can concentrate on each table. if i ran deep in the 4 i started i wouldn't enter anymore, if i get knocked out of 1 or 2, i enter another 1 or 2.........so if i listed all the "potential games" i might play, each post could be 2 pages long :D

obviously i will only start a session if i have the relevant time free, dont have to be up early the next day etc. If i only have 3 or 4 hours free, i will play 45/90/180 man sngs.

obv if i know 100% what games i plan to play that session i'd post em, but at these buyin levels, there are 100's.

NO games will be played off my own dime during this exercise, and all games are checkable........so is there really the need to post every potential game?

fold that j10 pre neil

gl with this, def cut out the 4/5 rbs and 11s till u have at least something like 30 buy ins minimum-wld prefer 50 but meh

dont peel so much pre if poss, like that q10 from the small, you'll just get yrslf in trble oop with mod hands and 20bbs

oh and crush my sonnnnnnnn :)

having t'internet problems at the mo, keeps discoing randomly which will be extremely tilting if i have a big hand, so for time being i will just play $2.50,$3,.50 & $4.50 45/90/180 mans....playing max 2 until t'internet problems are sorted.....using dongle at the mo, which struggles at peak times.

ps lmfao @ not making up the small blind with the Q10, knew exactly where i was in the hand and played it (imo) better than the "best in the buisness" possibly could ;) , figured he was drawing and took all his odds away, got them in well in front, and pokerstars did their standard back door special......the J10 maybe i shouldnt of peeled, but i got them in 22/1 favourite, but jokerstars didn't dissappoint again.
spent a few hours going thru my hands yesterday, don't think i did too much wrong, only 1 hand stood out, where i had 77 on a 6 high flop and was check raised all in, guy was bullying the table, and i made a call where i really should of folded (villain had QQ obv)
other than that been running like crap, so gonna drop the levels until stars flick the switch back.

will update what and when i'm playing

regards
GN

really running bad, cant hit a flop, cant get a c bet thru, cant win a race.

this run has to come to an end, sooner rather than later hopefully

played 6 last night
1x$2.50 90man
1x$4.50 180man
1x$2.50 180man
7.30 $2.20 $4k
9.15 $2.20 $8k
9.30 $8.80 $12k

played 5 today and had enough already (confidence shot to shit with stars, expecting the worst is making me play bad too)

12.00 $1.10 $2k
12.30 $4.40 $5k
1.00 $5.50 $15k
1x$3.50 45man
1x$4.50 180man.

its starting to get embarrassing, but i wont go down without a fight

regards gn

edit: entered 3 more, if no cashes from these and i'm taking a couple days off
1x$3.50 45 man
1x$2.50 90 man
3.30 $2.20 rebuy ($6.20 spend)

18 months of standard variance, well fk me when it hits me hard.........profit on every other site i play, but nevermind eh.........sorry i know i'm ranting but i swear i'm blacklisted/black balled on stars, 18 months ago i had over 100% roi, itm 23%..check the stats........ 1 ranting email 18 months ago, and i can't win fk all on there since............didnt believe all that "switch flicking shite" but really not so sure anymore.

anyway.....so far
total spend is $133.95
total cashes $18.12

if all agreed, i'd love to move the money to a different site, where i know i am profitable and can play with confidence of not getting fkd over.........really, my patience with stars has expired

p.s. if i was reading this written by someone else, i would say stfu u whinging numpty, but 18 months is long enough to say varience isn't the reason

If you play on another site you will win/lose just the same amount. It is variance, hence why we siad not to play 8/11/5r games with the bankroll as it will soon dissapear if you dont do a bink quickly. Its for fun/blonde updates though, so not really bothered.

Also playing the "calling/peeling pre" game because you know where you are willl get you nowhere in these big fields, you dont have to win every pot, play tighter and look for spots to steal, resteal and reresteal, backraise or whatever you old guys call it :P

How much is left in the bank? spin up time?

Dont mean to be rude but jees man this.

Dont peel so much, play tighter, push yr strong holdings like mad and variance will go on yr side im sure

No site has the 'rigged switch', reading this is tilting tbh.

I say play the full 250 on stars and lets see where we are- 117 left to play i believe.

If i were u id play trbos for 3/4 bucks a go and try and get as many in as poss from the remaining dollars.

More volume less variance simple.

I dunno i really dont wanna fall out with u but if yr just gonna whinge about bad beats there is no point in this.

+2000 to what pleno said basically

Edit

Been feeling bad since i posted the above even tho i do mean it. Reason i feel bad is cos obv we all feel bad after a bad sesh and a few beats etc, and its good 2 vent and being a bit emotional is cert no crime. :) And my words do read as a bit harsh, sorry if im bad at expressing well meaning advice in a kinda clumsy way!

But seriously neil, dont believe stars is against you, it's just variance over a very small sample size, even yr total stats on stars are only over like 1000 games-that's not even a month's games for a proper mtt/stt grinder.  Thus 18 months is kinda a moot point. Think positive, it will turn. :)

Keep reviewing yr hands-im sure u may find some things u cld look at tweaking.

I mean that Q10 peel from the sb was prob fine tbh, got stacks wrong when id looked at that, tho not entirely sure why we donk top pair into everybody. But the j10 peel, well if that is at all representative of the kinda peel you make you need 2 look at the percentages. Basically peeling for that much of yr stack is just going to cause you huge problems. The fact you got it in ahead dsnt matter, we can't be results based after the initial mistake.

Think what i'm trying to say is this could be a leak that could be hugely damaging yr overall roi and once eradicated might see results zoom. Perhaps trying to have an open mind and getting some1 like pleno to look over a hand or 2 might be a good thing to do. Its like he said this idea that 'you knew where you were in a hand' in such huge fields with huge variance isn't really the way 2 go, most mtt plays at these levels are just robotic abc moves. Fps will just cause you problems long term at such stakes.

Btw i really dont care about losing 50 bucks here just trying to give advice for the longterm-i think u have the basics but perhaps are approaching the online grind a bit 2 much like a live player.Anyway im sounding patronising now. Gl m8.

What's that word Blondes use, is it grimmed? Is this one of them? Will continue reading if so.

If not, can anyone point me to a thread with a bit of scandal or controversy? Thanks in advance.
