Title: 1-3NL cash game hand Post by: Junior Senior on June 23, 2011, 07:31:17 AM Popped into caesars to play some 1-3. Been playing about half hour and been fairly active. Game is lively.
I am BB with 10 10. sat with 195 Tight guy limps MP but later folds pre. SB raises to 14 playing 650. He has already made a huge cr on me when I was betting pre, flop and turn with air. He seems fairly aggro and looks like he wants to put a few moves on people. I think about the 3 bet but stack not deep enough go fold to 4 bet shove which I think is in his arsenal with a fairly wide range. I call with a plan to evaluate post flop. Flop is Kh 9c Th giving me a set. He checks which surprises me but I bet 20 he calls quick. Turn is 8c. He checks again and I bet 35. He calls. What do we have him on to here? River is Ahrt This completes draws but he checks again so I bet 40. He tanks, gains to call then after a minute shoves. What's he got? What do we do here. We have about 100 left. You are also not super deep, you have like 65 bigs.
On flop there is around 30. You bet 20, meaning there is 70 in the pot and effective stacks of 160. I initally thought you turn bet was horrible, but on reflection if you're going to be 3barreling here alot then its fine as you can pot size jam on the river, I prefer 40 turn, 110 on river. On river we have stacks of 130 and pot of 130, its pretty tough, but I'm going depolarise and try to rep flushes/nothing. So you think I now have no reason to value bet the river. This is exactly why you should 3bet, TT crushes a 'fairly wide range' Title: Re: 1-3NL cash game hand Post by: GreekStein on June 23, 2011, 05:15:27 PM really confused by logic in OP. If he has a very wide range to 4-bet then 3-bet and snap his cock off.

Thoughts on the river action as per how hand plays? Title: Re: 1-3NL cash game hand Post by: GreekStein on June 23, 2011, 05:22:10 PM Is it just HU to the flop?
I think you should be betting nearer 55 on the turn than 35. Title: Re: 1-3NL cash game hand Post by: SuuPRlim on June 23, 2011, 06:27:02 PM pretty sure id never fold the river, although it might well be a terrible call...
i'd have been all in way before this tho, i think ur way too shallow not to be Title: Re: 1-3NL cash game hand Post by: danny_b on June 24, 2011, 11:26:27 PM really confused by logic in OP. We were heads up to flop. Anyway he had AA and rivered me.
I didn't want to lose him though throughout the betting and didn't consider I might be beat at any point until the river re raise by which point I was never folding. Although perhaps on a better day I might have found the fold. Not many hands I am beating I guess.... Then just bet more on flop more on turn then jam river.
