fettissick??????

For anyone not familiar with Chazmanchaz, he is a highly ranked on P5s British MTT pro.  We have a little history in previous tourneys but nothing major, we also chat sometimes on Skype/MSN as we used to be staked by the same person so we have somewhat of an idea of how each other plays.

AFAIK its his 1st 3bet of the tourney, I may have missed some as I was playing other tables but he hasnt been going crazy, however he is capable of  3betting light in this spot despite it being early.

Think flatting pre here is by far the best option, however if anyone disagree's feel free to add comments about this but I mostly wanna concentrate on the turn and river.

When he checks back the flop, I feel like he never has QQ+, I also think that since he is naturally aggressive he would bet any J in his range most of the time but Id be much more surprised if he showed up with AA-QQ than if he showed up with a J.  I think he mostly checks back JJ/J4/44.  So of his non-nut range on the flop Id expect him to bet his air and check back Ax including AK and AQ/4x and flush draws most of the time.

Ts on the turn I decided to bet out small because I thought Id get value from Tx, maybe some smaller pairs and he might float turned straight draws and random As/Ks hands.  Also felt like betting small could induce with turned draws so if he raised I was planning on flatting and check/deciding river.  I also figure by betting small Im blocking him from betting bigger/raising bigger if he was ahead on the turn betting for value as if I bet bigger on the turn and get raised its harder to call and inflates the pot and I dont really wanna bet/fold the turn V Chaz and if I check I think Im always check/calling anyway.

Any thoughts on the turn??  In my head it makes sense but Im not sure if it actually does  :P

So what do we think is the best river line to take?
IMO he -
- Can have Ace highs and busted draws that we beat that we cant get value from but he is capable of turning these into bluffs
- He can have some 1 pair hands that we can maybe get value from
- He can have Jx/flush/full house hands that he is looking to bet/raise for value
- I dont think he ever checks behind a complete airball on the flop and then decides to float the turn

TY

Tricky spot, I am fine with it up to the river.

I probably check call the river TBH. It seems to me the best way to get some chips without risking an awful lot.

think pre is fine

would be surprised if chaz checked back Jx on the flop. also surprised if he 3bets 44 or J4 pre. not ruling out him checking back QQ-AA on the flop either.

turn i would bet for value and think we would get raised very very rarely by chaz. i would bet a bit bigger than you have done, this board is now really draw heavy and i can see a lot of value to our hand, especially 3 way.

river is interesting, i don't think chaz will bluff if checked to all that much, think he just checks back AK/AQ. there aren't many worse hands he can call with either. mehhhhh guess should c/f river for that reason altho i might try and induce something by betting 1/4 pot
