Play MTT's on Sky Poker during August
 
The winner wins a Sky Roller seat worth £110
Second wins a Sky Primo seat wins £55
 
How to play
 
 - All MTTs on Sky Poker during the month of August are eligible
 
 - Points for all cashes
    - Win a Sky Poker MTT and get 10 points
    - Final table for 5 points
    - Top 20 finish for 2 points
    - Outside top 20 cash for 1 point
 
- 50% added to each individual MTT score for any MTT with over 250 runners
 
- Minimum play is 10 MTTs for any player to qualify
 
- 10 League participants required for the added value to vest.
 
- Report play and results onto this thread
 
- I will produce a league table after checking Sharkscope
 
- Scores will be Points gained/divided by events played so as negate the volume effect for those who cannot play the amount of others
 
- At the end of the month the League winner will be the blonde MTT Champion.


So please let this thread know if you are participating, whether it be in Sky Roller's, Primos, Sky Opens or simply routine daily MTTs, and I willl do the rest

May as well play one whilst watch the F1 qualifying so will do the £3.30 Bounty Hunter today @ 10:45. Probably going to follow the updates of the APAT this weekend so might well play a few more anyway:-

EDIT - Tighty, just to confirm we can use tournaments played this weekend. The OP says in the month of August but I assume the post where it says play can begin immediately overrides that?

If I am reading it right Huw, we have to cash to score points I think.

It's a pretty important clarification, there are some tournaments where you can reach the final table and not cash. If points are only eligible if you cash then we need to know that so we don't waste our time on one's which we'll virtually need to win to score points in.

I have a 4th on the 29th - but does it count, because I think the tournament started before you posted; it also wasn't a cash so that needs clarifying (ie does it start from the date you posted it can commence immediately, or the time?)

Cashes only for points, as the OP says. To score points you need to have cashed

Will play three today and try and get the 10 done in the early part of the week (aiming to finish by the end of Wednesday). Playing OK at the moment but want to get a decent break in before going to DTD at the end of August.

19th in tonights main DS tournament. Crippled on a QQ v flopped 10 high straight after sitting pretty in the top ten for ages.

no min per mtt However must cash to score points
so you can play 6 runner comps and get same score for a 1st or 2nd as you would for a 50 runner mtt

Tighty, I reckon this format is the best one for this type of league. This is more well supported than the leagues for the past few months by miles

Haven't been updating every bit of play I've had, but just nicked 3rd in tonight's main BH. So a few more points on the board.

Do I need to report every one I play here, hit or miss? Because I'm obviously not mentioning the other donuts along the way. Big fat donut tonight in the mini-BH anyway. I'll go back and check the rest if required.

To defend myself I have registered for these over an hour in advance, and I've mainly been playing PLO/PLO8 MTTs. Some have had as many as 14 runners :)

Still have to win them to cash! (Not as easy as it might seem)

Summary 41 points/22 MTTs...

Proposal for Sep.

Minimum 10 runner MTTs.

Scoring system as August but your top 5 scores count so those who can put in volume can maintain interest. (Bit like the old DtD league). Maybe have a bonus day where top finisher scores doublke?

If you have just have this it can purely come down to volume - the people who will do best or who win will be those who can just keep on playing until they rack up the 5 wins (or however much it needs) to overtake everyone else.

Obviously having people play more is good for Sky, and like you said it can keep people's interest for longer.

The numbers can be played around with, but I think a better way of approaching it would be to have something like a minimum criteria of 10 scores - but a bonus criteria that if you play over (for example) at least 30 MTT's you get to discard your lowest 10 scores.

That way people are given a reward for playing on the sponsor more, but they still have a set of results which will be large enough to average out and not help them too much compared to the people who only play 10 or so.

Sitting at home coughing and spluttering with a bad chest - jealously watching my local GUKPT unfurl (Tighty on the blog     ....    Tikay doing a spin on the mike), I've managed another two comps;

The Mini Thingy    ....       pocket Kings no match for 4 6 off - El Blanco.

The TCP     ....    a creditable third.

Just as well, as apparently I only ever play four handed PLO comps.

There's a mistake on sharkscope, for some reason  ;whistle; it thinks the PLO H/L MTT I played was a HU match not a 6 max MTT - do you need to verify that it was actually an MTT; by tournament number or screenshot of the lobby for example?


Assuming there's no problem with adding both of todays results - can I add a PLO H/L 1st place and a NLHE 1st place please

Didn't get to play anymore.. APAT/cash games/ sleep rinse and repeat.... and on my way to USA now. Hopefully September league will be better supported, be able to participate after 9 September :)
