Title: Part 2 Gibralar Masters Post by: pleno1 on July 31, 2011, 11:14:08 AM Please see part 1 for explanation on tournie.
Average chips is 22400, I have 125,500 and have a ridiculous image. I'm winning alot at non showdowns and thin value against the Spanish fish. Previous hand villain raises UTG+1 w/55. BB called and c/r villains bet on 744 and villain tank jammed 55 and got ther eon the river against 88. He is stacking chips and I ask him how many does he have "86,000 - you?" Almost 3 seconds after answering me he raises utg at 600/1200 to 2400. Folds to me on the button and I make it 5975 with Kh Kc he snap calls. Flop Th 8s 3d he checks and I bet 5655, he immediately announces raise and throws in three 5k chips looking extremely confident. He knows I am very aggro and has gotten it in in similar circumstances in cash with qj on qxx in similar spot. Turn 7c He takes 3 seconds and checks. I check behind. River 3s He bets 10k. I call. I think this hand is really interesting, because although I think I played it v.slow I was very confused whether keeping a huge stack (ft avg was 96k) was more important than potentially losing out on another 20k on the river and possibly 80 on the flop. I think his flop raising range is probal qq/jj/1010, although he very possibly raises all three of these pre, also he can have 33/88 and possibly, a10s, j10s. Thoughts on everything including the discussion about "keeping a stack" Title: Re: Part 2 Gibralar Masters Post by: cambridgealex on July 31, 2011, 12:24:49 PM Vs this guy you can 3bet way bigger pre.
I'd be raising the river for value for sure. You'd somehow be able to make it 29753,5 if you wanted...;) Like flop and turn line. 30k/call. Title: Re: Part 2 Gibralar Masters Post by: DMorgan on July 31, 2011, 07:43:49 PM Definitely agree with alex that you can 3b much bigger pre. I like your flop and turn lines but definitely raising river now that your hand his so under-repped

Could show up with Ace 3 or J9 something sick but I think hes highly likely to make a much bigger river bet than 10k if he has a hand that beats you after his 20.5kish total wager on the flop. Likely QQ, JJ, 99, any T with a decent kicker, maybe even things like A8, 98, 97. Can u give more info on villain- age etc, think its really important. |
