Title: Grand Prix IV Live Updates Post by: DTD-ACES on August 09, 2011, 06:37:52 PM Hi All
The record breaking Dusk Till Dawn Grand Prix has officially commenced. With the first day of Day 1’s over, how are we looking to make the 5,000 entry guarantee? The first day of Day 1’s came to a close last night. The 7pm tournament attracted a total of 82 players, and the 9pm tournament attracted 75 players. 8 players from each went through and secured their seats in Day 2, which will be held at Dusk Till Dawn on Saturday 20th August. This August’s Grand Prix stretches over a period of two whole weeks, and last night was the opening chapter of the main event. The numbers were lower than anticipated – will this Grand Prix follow the pattern of our others and snowball the closer we get to the finish date or should Dusk Till Dawn brace themselves for the overlay of the year? Tonight - The same tournaments as last night are scheduled in for this evening and for the rest of the week until Friday. The top 10% of players in the 7pm and 9pm tournaments will join those from last night and battle it out for the quarter of a million euro prize pool. Although last night’s results were somewhat disappointing for Dusk Till Dawn, players that prefer the shorter fields were happy! Every night this week, and across all our club Day 1’s which start on Saturday, we’re sending through the top 10% of the field, whether there are 40 players or 400. All players that make Day 2 will have made the money. They return on Saturday 20th August with a brand new starting chip stack of 15,000 and a longer clock of 40 minutes. RE-ENTRY 50% of our 9pm winners last night had re-entered! For all the players that don’t make the top 10% they have the option to RE-ENTER back into any other Day 1 tournament. Just over 25% of last nights 7pm tournament opted to re-enter into 9pm 4 of which made up the final 8 players that made it through to Day 2. Action resumes tonight at 7pm. If you're not playing yourself, you can head to the Online Poker Lobby, go to the tables and watch the action live! Cheers ACES Title: Re: Grand Prix IV Live Updates Post by: EvilPie on August 09, 2011, 06:49:54 PM Simon.

Grand Prix Golden Chippers: 9 already through to Day 2 There were 16 successful Grand Prix Day 2 qualifiers last night, 9 of which were Golden Chip holders. The 7pm flight consisted of 49 direct buy ins along with 33 satellite winners, of which 27 had Golden Chips. Amongst them there were 10 players with the potential to re-enter into another Day 1 flight with their additional satellite wins should they get knocked out. The top 8 players made Day 2 including 6 satellite winners with 5 Golden Chippers who are now one step closer to collecting their Mini Cooper or £15,000 cash at the final table. At 9pm the total 75 entrants were made up of 46 x €60 buy ins and 29 satellite winners (22 Golden Chips). Again eight Day 2 seats were generated therefore 4 direct buy in players and 4 Golden Chip satellite winners will be joining us at the club on Saturday 20th. Two of the unsuccessful Golden Chip holders in the 7pm flight who also had Golden Chip re-entry seats in the bank contacted our customer support team to get re-entered for 9pm with their re-entry tickets. Not only did we manage to get them both registered in time, they both walked away from the 9pm flight with a seat to Day 2 and an active Golden Chip. If you have any queries about your Grand Prix IV entry or re-entry please email Nicola@dusktilldawnpoker.com or contact our Customer Support Team as they appear to have magical powers and will do their very best to get you entered and through to Day 2! For more details on the Grand Prix IV please see our website http://www.dusktilldawnpokerclub.com/events/grand-prix Cheers ACES Title: Re: Grand Prix IV Live Updates Post by: DTD-ACES on August 09, 2011, 07:17:15 PM Simon. Cheers Matt Hi Matt Late registration is open for the first 6 levels which will be 3hrs and 15 minutes after the start of the tournament. Cheers Simon Good to know I can have a shot at the 12pm comp as a late reg and then still get in the 7pm flight if necessary. The live comps are critical to the success of this. Hopefully they'll get well over 300 for each one. Good luck DTD. It's not a satellite. You've played day 1 and now you're through to day 2. That's it. Would be interesting to see if the software can cope with mootards registering when they're already through though. I'm guessing it'll just let them play again. Will be very interesting if one of them qualifies. If you want to play a few more Stu you can play on my account if you like. I'll pay you £300 if you get me through. IF i do not turn up do i just get blinded down and paid out on where i finish? if so you could get £200 for a no show! At least one guy was playing even though he had already qualified so he could transfer to a friend and another guy just happily admitted to playing on his partners account. I just wondered what the official answer was. Software will cope with it fine imo and the names will just be duplicated to DTD. I'm all done, that was pretty much the only Day 1 I could play. ;-) Title: Re: Grand Prix IV Live Updates Post by: redsimon on August 10, 2011, 03:35:15 PM Lots of people asking what happens if you qualify on two day 1s? A Golden Chip winner makes Grand Prix Day 2 after satelliting through our Facebook FREEROLL 13 players in last night’s Grand Prix made it through to Day 2, and Sharon Butler after satelliting her way through our exclusive Facebook Freeroll was one of them! Dusk Till Dawn Poker Sharon played the Facebook freeroll on Monday 25th July which was exclusively for the Facebook friends of Simon Aces Trumper. The freeroll guaranteed 20 Grand Prix seats with Golden Chips and all qualifiers were given the choice of which Day 1 they wanted to play. We have 5 day 1’s online this week followed by 7 days of club Day 1’s from Saturday. Sharon chose to play her Day 1 last night online – and what a good choice that was! Sharon finished in the top 10%, goes through to Day 2 on Saturday 20th August with a beautiful shiny Golden Chip, worth an additional £15,000 on top of her winnings if she makes the final table. Nice! There are no more Golden Chips to be won for this Grand Prix, but there’s still a phenomenal quarter of a million euro prize pool GUARANTEED and waiting to be claimed! Play your Day 1 tonight online at 7pm & 9pm. The top 10% of both will join Sharon on Saturday 20th August to play Day 2. Any unsuccessful players have the option to re-enter back into the event on any other Day 1. If you have a question about the Grand Prix please contact our support team or visit us in person at Reception at Dusk Till Dawn. Cheers ACES Title: Re: Grand Prix IV Live Updates Post by: DTD-ACES on August 10, 2011, 10:03:12 PM I have a seat in the grand prix IV. David Hi David Yes if a player qualifies for day 2 and doesn't show up they will be blinded away and receive a cash pay out for their finishing position. 1 in 6 players who have Re-Entered have made it through to Day 2 of the €250,000 Grand Prix IV So far 93 players have Re-Entered and 15 of which have managed to bag their seat to Day 2 through Re-Entry. Last night satellite winner oscar333 was knocked out of the 7pm flight and Re-Entered at 9pm to claim his seat into day 2. On Monday night 2 satellite winners asked to Re-Enter into the 9pm flight with their second Golden Chip seats and both made it through to Day 2 on their second attempt. We have 80 satellite winners who have won duplicate Grand Prix IV seats to use for Re-Entry if they get knocked out; this allows them the flexibility to play online this week and more chances to make Day 2. Failing that they can play their seats live at the club next week between Saturday 13th and Friday 19th August. Day 2 of the Grand Prix IV is being held on Saturday 20th August and all players who make day will receive a fresh starting stack of £15,000 chips and already be in the money, receiving a minimum pay out of €75. So far we have 41 players returning on Day 2 for a share of the €250,000. There are still 14 more chances to make day 2 over the next 9 days including 2 flights tonight online at 7pm and 9pm. Play your Day 1 tonight online at 7pm or 9pm, buy in directly for €60 via our poker lobby. Any questions contact our Support Team and they will be happy to help. The Grand Prix is off to a slow start online, we have had 507 entrants accross the flirst 4 days (8 flights). The quarter of a million euro guarantee equates to 5,000 entrants – so there’s still a way to go! The event is spread across two weeks, and you can play your Day 1 any day from Monday 8th August up to and including Friday 19th August. You can choose to play your Day 1 Online or at the Club. The top 10% from each Day 1 will make it through to Day 2 on Saturday 20th August. Unsuccessful players can re-enter back into as many other Day 1’s as they wish. We have opened the tournament for Re-Entry back into the same flight which you can now do over the cash desk. This service is now available when re-entering into any Day 1. Please note that your first entry must be made via your online poker lobby as winnings are paid into your online account only. To clarify, if you are playing a Day 1 at the Club it is essential that you register via the online poker lobby in advance of coming to Dusk Till Dawn. Players will not be able to buy-in at the club. Before each club tournament starts, there will be two terminals available for new online accounts to enter the event. After the start time of the tournament players wishing to re-enter may also use these terminals. Due to demand, we have agreed to extend the online Day 1’s. These will run from Saturday up to and including Friday 19th August. Players will be able to register for these 24 hours before the start time. For full details on the event and registration, please head to our Grand Prix page http://www.dusktilldawnpokerclub.com/events/grand-prix If you have any questions at all regarding your online account, the Grand Prix event or general questions and queries, please contact Sophia, Maria & Kim by emailing support@dusktilldawnpoker.com Cheers ACES Title: Re: Grand Prix IV Live Updates Post by: leethefish on August 12, 2011, 08:31:08 PM glad dtd are doing on-line next week as well really hope they get close/make the guarantee...

Title: Re: Grand Prix IV Live Updates Post by: leethefish on August 14, 2011, 11:04:33 AM terrible idea about 300 players expected for day 2 for a 250k gtd prizepool you must be mad to not want to play it

Title: Re: Grand Prix IV Live Updates Post by: OldKingCole on August 14, 2011, 12:38:13 PM Made Day two in the 7pm live Day 1 :) I sat up following redsimon's progress on the DtD website, amusing myself watching players being added to the busted list and watching table structures change. He started with Greek Jack two seats to his right and when Kevin Hallmark busted early from seat 1, Peter 'The Bandit' Evans moved in. Had this been later in the GP, this could have been the featured table and apart from comings and goings from the other seats these three remained until Peter Evans went in 32nd place. There were a couple of table breaks after this, Greek Jack moved away but Tajudeen Adelaja moved in, and although better known as a HORSE and Omaha player he is no NLHE slouch! Anyway it must have been around 3am when Tajudeen busted 15th, rapidly followed by Mark Orlowski, bubble, and the 13 survivors to day 2 were known. You can find them under 'Current Seatings' in the tournament section for GP4 Live Day 1 7pm 13th August. http://www.dusktilldawnpokerclub.com/result-info.php?id=2138&type=results (http://www.dusktilldawnpokerclub.com/result-info.php?id=2138&type=results) Was I the only one to notice that redsimon's Forest logo has changed(?), to herald the arrival of Steve McClaren at the City Ground. ;applause; I hope Simon has better luck at DtD next Saturday than Forest are having right now.
