Title: Weekend footy bets
Post by: action man on August 27, 2011, 12:51:42 AM
blackburn look over priced to me at 12/5 home to everton

already backed mkdons, but they just sold their best player still think they are good value at 10/11 if you can get it.

any views?

thought the same on Blackburn. Not on anything yet tho, will decide 2mo.

Hopefully Cahill is out and Saha doesnt play.

I agree Blackburn are a big price but tempted to wait for line ups to get involved with a few injury doubts on both sides, will have to be on the ball tho.

Think 0-0 is a player in the Villa Wolves game.

One I like most Burnley @ 9/4. They have been playing well so far without winning, completely dominating at home to Cardiff and missing numerous chances for a winner to draw 1-1. Derby been the opposite, won 4 in 4 and been very lucky without playing too great. Maybe tomorrow it swings. In Charlie Austin and Jay Rodriquez, the Clarets have 2 of the most exciting young strikers in the league and despite not strengthening in other areas, which would give them a real shot at the top 6, they still have enough to get their first 3 points of the season on the board tomorrow. Not a massive price don't get me wrong, but enough to get involved, would've made them like 9/5 tops.

Also like Notts Forest @ 15/8 on Sunday. Despite MattNFFC's misgivings I haven't been overly impressed with West Ham so far this season (winning 2 but beating 2 relegation favs) and last week and on Tuesday in the cup (4-1 victory at Wycombe, strongest team out) I've seen enough from Forest to suggest they are starting to gel a little bit to Mclaren's style of play and 15/8 is too big.

Went to Coral, wrote out my little slip... The guy wrote the odds next to the bets, for Bristol Rovers hes put 13/8.. The actual odds are 8/13

Will I get the price hes written on my slip?

Hate betting on Wednesday (usually happy to bet against them) but if we can't win today then I'm worried.
Scunny played a decent team on Thursday night and were taken to extra time. Long game, short recovery and haven't been great so far this season.
Missed the odds against earlier this week so happy to leave it but seems to be shortening even more.

Very unlikely that you will for a football bet. They should see their error when they put it into the computer, but you could get lucky.

Well played BH.
As bad as Forest have been it's their best start for years! I'm predicting a 0-0 but best of luck.

wow today. Something in my head tells me arsenal cannot win, but 6/1 really? spurs were only 5/1. Dunno if i'll bet.

One i am betting in the city game is city -1 at 4/1 they have the capacity to go to white hart land and win 3-1, 3-0 quite comfortably, and i think this is decent value.

wouldnt touch the baggies or newcastle games with a barge pole

haha wtf.

Y'all can take your praise back, what an absolute collapse of a football team this is.

Mclaren out!

Too good! A perfect hat-trick to boot as well. A non gambling friend of mine told me to get on Dzeko for top goalscorer this year, I laughed at the time.

I've taken some 4/5 on burton and splashed a little on 4-0,4-1,5-0,5-1,6-0,6-1 correct scores at party prices.

Plymouth are in bad enough form as it is, with potentially a youth team out on saturday burton look fair value, doubt price will last.

Only worry 4 me is burton aren't exactly pulling up any trees either, but aren't in terrible form and should really enjoy this.

Talks of Theo up front with Rooney this evening. 10/1 first goalscorer.
Unibet have him 7/2 anytime scorer when 5/2 seems to be the price elsewhere. Probably can't get much on but it's a decent price.

Source for Theo news?

If it's this (http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=newssearch&cd=1&ved=0CCYQqQIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.express.co.uk%2Fposts%2Fview%2F268707%2FTheo-Walcott-s-striking-form&ei=SqtgTpuWNMjD8QPXv_zNDw&usg=AFQjCNFQffVyzovuxEk3XA_qLki3uY73ow&sig2=80zml7SEIxQYRX7TQDYGZQ) all it says is that he played upfront in a training game w/ Carroll, but he was playing against John Terry. Seems that the likely XI is gonna be a 4-3-3 with him and Young wide of Rooney.

Agree 4-3-3 was/is more likely. Interesting to hear 442 has been tried with Theo up front though. May have changed Capello's mind as lack of CM's but strength of wide players means it's easier to got to 442.

Best priced 4/6 now and mostly 4/7-1/2.

4/5 looking good.

I feel sorry 4 those players not paid, but i hope reid has to play tmrw!

Agree prices seem fair.

Ladbrokes go 7/2 anytime and 10/1 fgs walcott.

Will have much bigger limits too.
