Title: Weekend Footie
Post by: sweet potata! on September 16, 2011, 04:39:05 PM
Post up your bets.....

Having looked at the prices for PL matches this week I'm not seeing too much apart from Everton @ 1.57 seems to be a shitty shitty price, dont think they can be backed at that price against anybody.

So I will do a LAY of Everton @ 1.58

had a quick look at the EPL and only Man U at 17-20 stands out at the moment.

Think that's a very nice price TBH. Brighton @ 5-2 V Leicester is appealing as well.

Bet365 offer must be taken up if betting on the Scum - Chelsea match. Probably should be taken up even if you were planning on not betting on it.
Ideas on best way to take advantage would be appreciated.

Purely from a value perspective, I can't believe Palace are 3.3 at home to Boro, I made them 2.8 max.

They were impressive against us last Saturday and deserved to win but left with nothing. Boro, I think they are overrated.

Backing QPR DNB @ 3.25 aswell at Wolves, was impressed with them away at Wigan even though they lost 2-0 and then again on Monday when I couldn't believe they didn't win.

I would think that you will be able to lay MU at 5/6 or similar on Betfair on Sunday so backing them at that price now with 365 wouldn't be the worst idea in the world and then laying it back and taking the free bet for, erm, free or even lay that back on BF for a decent cash profit.  Certainly makes some sense.

Backed a few this week.  Wigan @ 7/1, Barnsley @8/5, Derby @ 4/1, (lay) leicester @ 6/5, Man Utd @ 10/11 and, urgh, Palace @ 5/2.  Really fancy Laabrinto in Ayr Silver Cup fwiw (cba starting a new thread!!).  Considering Doncaster too.

B365 should be for any market in the match (that's what it was the last time anyways.

Today I'm on Brighton, Leeds and Bolton.

Fancy Arsenal. Decent price for Arsenal and Song and Gervinho are back so be able to field a decent team for the first time in a while.

11-10 (with 32Red) Arsenal is a massive price TBF...Blackburn is very poor and if Arsenal can't win this they're very poor indeed. V Persie 9-2 for FGS is also quite tasty and I would prefer that TBH.

Is this exactly the bet? When I read it the other day I got the impression it was a refund on a losing bet? I.e you bet £50 pre match, then you bet another £50 of your own money = £100 worth of bets then get a refund if your initial bet loses? So although in effect its a free bet you need £100 in your account? And you only get it if your initial bets a loser... An actual free bet would be regardless of result?

Title: Re: Weekend Footie
Post by: Josedinho on September 17, 2011, 01:13:33 PM
Place £50 pre match.
Then place £50 in play. If the in play bet loses then you get your money back.

So you would need £100 in your account.

Backed my home team Rochdale at 11/5 (seems v decent value when we're very eager to make 4th round for 1st time, and playing a mid-table team from league below)

Also done a lol 13 game accumulator in the cup, only 9600/1
