Title: Flamingo - Vegas Post by: StuartHopkin on September 21, 2011, 12:41:48 PM Anyone stopped here? Any helpful reviews or comments?
One of the girls at work wants to book it this afternoon. A nice touch if you like the smell but for me I can't even walk through the place >:(
Title: Re: Flamingo - Vegas Post by: redsimon on September 21, 2011, 01:23:21 PM Bit outdated but central strip if you fancy gaming in Caesars/Bellagio etc. Found most of food outlets poor last month and a lot of building work in main casino when I was in there. Cardroom's rubbish too...

Title: Re: Flamingo - Vegas Post by: Woodsey on September 21, 2011, 04:43:59 PM Is fine if you stay in a 'go' room which are new, stayed 3/4 times before and am back there over Xmas. Can't beat the location.
Despite what Simon said the card room is ok, lots of older people in the games and less young guns who prefer to populate the 'cooler' rooms so games are softer than average IMO. Title: Re: Flamingo - Vegas Post by: Marky147 on September 22, 2011, 07:44:19 PM I've never stayed there but know a couple people who have stayed in a GO room and been happy enough. From what I've read on VMB the general consensus is the other rooms are shit.
How old is the girl Stu? If she's 20s/30s then PH might be the best alternative, you are slightly further down the strip but the casino would be much more suited to someone in that age range and when you throw in the food choices it's not even close. If she's a little older then maybe Ballys would be a good alternative, the cost might be a little more but the laid back atmosphere and being annexed to the Paris which the older crowd tend to love could be a winner. |
