Blind are 400/800 and we are UTG+1, Alex Goulder is min raising most hands and has 45k+ and is UTG, I have a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge whale direct to my left who has called 100% of opens, he has 24k.

Alex raises UTG (5 handed) to 1600, I call with  Ad Jd and the fish obv comes along.

Flop -  Ahrt 4h 5c

Alex checks, I check, fish bets 2400, Alex c/r to 5200. I call, fish calls.

Turn is  Kd and Alex snap jams 18k into 20k.

I call. Thoughts?

As played folding to the c/r on the flop. Doesn't seem like Alex will be bluffing this texture much oop vs a whale plus he's likely capable of barreling down and putting you in spots where you're essentially guessing later on. Bit like this lol. Definitely folding now.

Doubt Alex is getting out of line once you call on the flop.  Only hand I can imagine you beat is Kxhh depending on how light the whale will actually call it off here.

what do we think alex's value range is here?

btw i remember recently he c/r axx with AA and i know he knows i know he knows i  probably know this.

whats your stack size is 3betting pree not a legit option given how you have some pretty high blue cards?

i didnt want to 5bet and wioth the dynamic we had i thoguht id get 4b alot, and the fish was huuuuuuge fish who never believed me so peeled to keep him in with j2+ a2+

your flop overcall is pretty dam strong, and whereas we could level ourselves into thinking that Alex knows you know the fish bets vs missed Cbet near 100% so Alex's value c/r range might be wider and his c/r bluff range have more hands in it, I think when you + the fish both overcall and he still jams the turn for near pot then he prolly just has a really good hand.

Maybe he can have At/A9 with the fish in the hand and that's kinda of reasonable when he'd expect you to 3bet AJ+ with SOME frequency and ofc flush draws would be played similar but for me you're gonna get shown AK/AQ a bit too often as Alex plays to exploit these weaker players very well

Call pre fold flop exploit edge in every single other pot, simples.

I fold the flop as played. Don't think Alex is gunna try and pull anything here in a 3way pot OOP to both of you. Especially not when he piles the turn.

Fold pre vs me. Even IP im gonna put you in a whole world of pain most of the time.

I'd actually really lvoe to play HU vs Alex as he seems to have chnaged his game alot recently and I always feel semi uneasy when I'm in pots against him. Would be a good challenge.

Yeah thats true, but Alex is probably the only competent player left in the tournie, so thought I'd rtaher go down the low variance route.

I checked flop to try to get the whale to spew with hands that would fold to my lead.
