If we are limping enough to balance our range then we have played too many pots oop in the sb.

If he's a nutcase Id prolly open/4b jam E), defo 4b Jam G) and prolly just open muck F) - If I think he's spewy enough to 3b call joke wide (snaping you off with 55 and KJ etc) then I'd prolly just open muck A) as well but that suck cos it's a great hand to 4b jam ordinarily imo Title: Re: butchered Post by: Royal Flush on September 25, 2011, 03:58:03 AM Did everyone miss the bit that said this was a turbo?
Title: Re: butchered Post by: buzzharvey22 on September 25, 2011, 04:01:06 AM Did everyone miss the bit that said this was a turbo? pretty deepstacked turbo though if hes 7/15 with 31bb's Title: Re: butchered Post by: Rupert on September 25, 2011, 04:04:07 AM Not sure it's especially pertinent to have a set out plan when its 30bbs effective as it's an awkward stack to just jam so we can decide if he does that and if he 3 bets us just make a decision based on whatever reads we have etc. I think >85% of the time in this scenario villain will either fold or call
Title: Re: butchered Post by: Boba Fett on September 25, 2011, 07:58:15 AM I open jam all of these
Title: Re: butchered Post by: paulhouk03 on September 25, 2011, 08:01:30 AM I open jam all of these 31 bigs? i would jam 20 bigs but not 31 Title: Re: butchered Post by: Boba Fett on September 25, 2011, 08:40:11 AM I open jam all of these 31 bigs? i would jam 20 bigs but not 31 I don't think it's too much to jam in a turbo. It's an awkward stacksize. Deffo shoving 22,88,at. R/C AA. R/F or jam A7/A2/QT. Title: Re: butchered Post by: pleno1 on September 25, 2011, 10:41:00 AM Ok, we open A - G. He jams in under 1 second.
How do we think this changes his range and which would we call with? Title: Re: butchered Post by: SuuPRlim on September 25, 2011, 11:00:50 AM Did everyone miss the bit that said this was a turbo? I did miss this lol this now makes me under qualified to comment lol Title: Re: butchered Post by: outragous76 on September 25, 2011, 11:15:42 AM 31 bigs is a very awkward stack size. I was also assuming we are huge this deep in tourney as it's unusual to have so many.
Title: Re: butchered Post by: Rupert on September 25, 2011, 02:23:20 PM why didnt you just post asking what range we should call with when we open and get snap jammed on by a 30bb stack? i'm calling with 88 and AA and folding the rest.
Title: Re: butchered Post by: SuuPRlim on September 25, 2011, 04:50:25 PM how close is AT? I reckon id merrily fold it in game but wonder how much of a decision it is?
Title: Re: butchered Post by: Boba Fett on September 25, 2011, 05:47:15 PM how close is AT? I reckon id merrily fold it in game but wonder how much of a decision it is? Villain has to be a known nit to r/f this. Id be pretty happy r/c'ing or open shoving it.Title: Re: butchered Post by: muckthenuts on September 25, 2011, 07:05:59 PM how close is AT? I reckon id merrily fold it in game but wonder how much of a decision it is? I definitely wouldn't be folding AT there Title: Re: butchered Post by: Rupert on September 25, 2011, 07:47:43 PM We are 7/15 so there's either 7 or 8 players at the table. If we 2.6x and BB jams for 31x then if we call there will be around 63bbs in the pot and it costs us 28.4bbs to call so we need 28.4/63 = 45% to call ignoring ICM (and ignoring ICM is an ICM disaster here).
Putting villain on a range is the hardest part obv, I wouldn't expect most villains to jam here very often so would expect something like 22-77, occasionally some high card hands and sometimes some bigger pairs. Title: Re: butchered Post by: pleno1 on September 25, 2011, 09:35:24 PM he jammed under 1,3 sconds
