Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Post by: boldie on October 04, 2011, 06:45:10 AM Why did you show the bluff? Was it to create an image for yourself or were you just showing off? (If it's the first then you know you have to call, if it's the 2nd..that's just stupid)
If you call the 3bet pre and the flop bet then you have to call (or shove) the turn bet. IMO. Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Post by: pleno1 on October 04, 2011, 09:25:09 AM call.

Post by: boldie on October 04, 2011, 10:24:23 AM defo never shove without some joke reads you're nt sharing with us Just for clarification, my shove comment was more to highlight that I'd never fold here rather than actual shoving (as played of course)...I obv always call. Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Post by: Beaver808 on October 04, 2011, 01:33:26 PM Call - sigh at showing the bluff
Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Post by: SuuPRlim on October 04, 2011, 02:41:06 PM if you think he was paying enough attention after your big turn bluff you could consider a raise on the flop and try get him to spazz out and jam somethig we beat
Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Post by: EvilPie on October 04, 2011, 03:07:26 PM Call turn.
Call / value jam river. Don't show bluffs in future then you won't have to worry about levelling yourself in to value jamming AQ. Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Post by: cambridgealex on October 04, 2011, 03:09:44 PM Only show bluffs in live poker cos its funny

Post by: muckthenuts on October 05, 2011, 01:17:52 AM It's close ish but i prefer to call the turn as he could have picked up some straight/flush equity plus have a couple worse Ace combos along with airballs since you have a loose image atm. Folding on lots of rivers if he bets. Not that happy with AQ at all here though so i wouldn't hate it if you wanted to fold the turn tbh, and any notions of jamming at any point are horrible, we really want to just showdown.
Herro Mathew fuckin Perry ;) Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Herro Mathew fuckin Perry ;) Eh? We've just shown a huge bluff. Are we now going to sit and wait for the stone cold nuts before we bet for value? Without the bluff I agree this is a showdown hand but given the circumstances we should be looking to get hero'd by worse. Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Post by: kinboshi on October 05, 2011, 01:34:42 PM Call it down. Guessing he had AK or something like that this time, hence the post?

Granted we have shown a bluff and hence portray a slightly looser image (it's not gonna have a huge effect imo) but his range seems pretty strong so there are still too few combinations of hands which'll take this line and call a shove with worse than AQ. Post by: ih8winning on October 07, 2011, 01:58:32 AM 1st of all thanks for all the replys people my 1st post here had 2 do it considering this forum has the great "muckthenuts" aamir masood! ;) Heres what happened guys i flatted the turn and the river came a 6s and he shoved I tank called he had Tc 9c :( :( guess i should shove the turn seeing as the only hands he can ever really have that has us beat is AK or AA and when he does have these hands cant we just bemoan a cooler? I like the call line in a cash but this deep in a tourney not so much i dont think! I busted a few hands later :( but for my own brag purposes heres the j-9 bluff hope u all enjoy :P

Herro Mathew fuckin Perry ;) haha u NIT! yeh I think thts not a horrible line dude but we only lose to 2 hands in his entire range them being AK and AA. Plus if he does have those combo draw dont we just wana get the money in with 62% equity? We could also get called by worse A-10 A-J with our image at this point being pretty crazy! Title: Re: What do u do in this turn spot? Post by: AlexMartin on October 07, 2011, 06:33:59 PM definitely do not shove the turn, regardless of whether or not u think you have an image/we.

I like the call line in a cash but this deep in a tourney not so much i dont think! this is a bit of a clusterfuck. what you;re saying is effectively, the only hands that realistically beat us are two hands he does genuinely have in his range whereas we have them rarely, so we want to over-rep our range when we have pretty much the NUT bluff catching hand, take all of his bluffs out and get it in badly when he stacks off. Getting it in in spots like this a bemoaning a cooler when we run into a hand he could pretty realistically have is not ftw here, if you really think you're image is that nutso then small 4bet call p/f imo |
