Live satellite to a £550 game (50/20/10 paid so in for 80), 9 seats are paid and 17 left, 49k average, blinds are 1k and 2k with 100 ante! Under the gun has 110k so very comfortable in the format, raises 10k under the gun! "Hero" in the small blind finds Td Th and shoves for around 40k (correct shove I assume?). The original raiser has 8c 8h and 30k to call, is this an instant call, dwell call or fold? Thoughts? Title: Re: Settle a household satellite argument Post by: donkieplayer on November 11, 2011, 10:38:17 PM So bad play by 88 by 5x'ing it UTG, hes raising nearly 10% of his stack and he is one of the chip leaders so you say, even if he wants to run over the table, what's the need in a satty, he overraises and gets almost fully committed to the hand against the shorter stack table, at the very best he is flipping and at worst a 4:1 dog, if you have 1010 its a brave shove, since the 8's are committed 10s are in a bad spot too where they could also be crushed or flipping at best, and if you or the "hero" feels they have an edge on the satty as a whole, as they are drunk and reckless, why get in a spot where you know the utg raiser is almost never folding and could be ahead with his range or flipping a very high percentage of the time.
