Title: Re: diesel cars Post by: rex008 on October 09, 2011, 07:09:40 PM Diesel car may be more expensive, but will almost certainly be worth similar % amount more at resale, so you can't just calculate based on difference between diesel and petrol - have to work out how much of the diff you'd lose over how long you keep the car, which is going to be less.

I just pay my DLA mobility component to Motability for the car and everything all in. The car just goes back every 3 years so resale isn't an issue either for me. I'm guessing now actually thinking about it that the fuel cost difference for myself would be negligible in the grand scheme of things and I'm best off just picking the car I want.
