Title: Liverpool v Man U Post by: kinboshi on October 11, 2011, 11:00:07 AM No matter where the two are in the league, this is always a big game for the players and the fans.
The odds look fairly close at the moment, with Man U as the favourites despite it being at Anfield. Based on performances this season, you'd have to favour Man U in this one and there are other factors to take into account as well - such as Suarez playing for Uruguay today and even if he comes through unscathed, he still has the flight, etc. to contend with. So maybe he won't start on Saturday, and that would obviously be a miss for Liverpool. Gerrard coming back to fitness is obviously a bonus, especially for a match like this. So where are people putting their money and predictions as to the score? Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: Waz1892 on October 11, 2011, 11:08:54 AM love and hate this fixture every time. never bet on it...too much hurt if we lose anyway without losing money, and dont need the money if we win to be happy!!
Saurez & Gerrard for the 1st hour with the aim to kill the game then change if tiring, why bring them on because u need too?! Normally too late by then Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: millidonk on October 11, 2011, 11:12:20 AM Love this fixture when we win. Love carra coming out of the blocks and chopping someone to set the tone.
Not had a look at the market yet. Usual defender first scorer 2-1. But i can't wait. Was actually gonna put a thread up yesterday but thought it was too soon. Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: boldie on October 11, 2011, 01:24:08 PM Meh, not a betting game for me...If pushed probably go for the draw. 1-1
Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: kinboshi on October 12, 2011, 08:27:14 AM Lucas played a full 90 minutes for Brazil last night, so another who may or may not start. Think he's one Liverpool needs.
Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: Horneris on October 12, 2011, 08:57:13 AM Would be stunned if Suarez doesn't start, he despises missing a second of football if you're playing Wigan never mind Scum. Really not the sort of player who misses games.

Really not the sort of player who misses games. He might want to start (and I hope he does), but depends on Dalglish, Clarke and Keen decide is best for the side. If he's feeling anywhere close to full fitness, then he has to start imo. Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: david3103 on October 12, 2011, 04:41:11 PM Can't bet on this fixture. Liverpool at 9/4 looks decent though given the recent history.

What we need to replace, if he's is not fresh to start, is another midfielder...maybe English... :dontask: Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: kinboshi on October 12, 2011, 08:52:17 PM Lucas played a full 90 minutes for Brazil last night, so another who may or may not start. Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: bigalhx1 on October 13, 2011, 05:59:41 PM I think this is a Manure win unfortunately same Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: Rod on October 14, 2011, 09:51:30 AM I think this is a Manure win unfortunately same They have had a good start to the season but have not really had to play any tough teams away from home, Stoke are OK I know but they didn't look great there, apart from that they have beaten Bolton and West Brom (again not looking great). Utd have looked good at Old Trafford, but this is Liverpool Vs Man Utd which gives it an extra edge and Liverpool have performed well in these games recently and I fancy them to sneak the win at Anfield. Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: kinboshi on October 14, 2011, 02:26:44 PM Quote from: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/kenny-s-clean-bill-of-health-for-utd Kenny Dalglish has revealed he has a fully fit squad to select from against Manchester United this weekend. The likes of Glen Johnson, Martin Kelly, Daniel Agger and Fabio Aurelio are all back vying for places. "Everybody's fine," the boss told reporters. "The three boys who came back from South America are all fine." I hope they're not vying too hard for those places otherwise at least a couple of them will pick up another injury. Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: boldie on October 14, 2011, 03:53:47 PM OK Boshi, what result would you say would be a good one for LFC this weekend? Would a draw do for you?
Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: kinboshi on October 14, 2011, 03:56:12 PM OK Boshi, what result would you say would be a good one for LFC this weekend? Would a draw do for you? Good result = 2-0 win. Fair result = 1-goal win. Meh, we'll take it result = Draw. Man u obviously have got off to a better start and have been scoring for fun. We've tripped and stumbled over the opening of the season, and certainly haven't looked brilliant. But if the team can't get up for this match, then they might as well give up. Pretty much how I see it too, but from the other end of the East Lancs Road (and the M62/A1/A19) Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: kinboshi on October 14, 2011, 04:35:04 PM Just got a text with the Liverpool line-up for tomorrow (allegedly, my source is usually pretty good, but not 100%):
Pepe Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique Lucas, Adam Kuyt, Gerrard, Downing Suarez Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: millidonk on October 14, 2011, 04:55:23 PM Just got a text with the Liverpool line-up for tomorrow (allegedly, my source is usually pretty good, but not 100%): Pepe Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique Lucas, Adam Kuyt, Gerrard, Downing Suarez (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CPU9mFjV3bk/Tk_CWyv-ZmI/AAAAAAAAAJY/ukTMfy3HgZ4/s1600/facebook_like_button.jpg) Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: sweet potata! on October 14, 2011, 05:00:06 PM Just got a text with the Liverpool line-up for tomorrow (allegedly, my source is usually pretty good, but not 100%): Pepe Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique Lucas, Adam Kuyt, Gerrard, Downing Suarez Let it be true.... Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: redarmi on October 14, 2011, 10:11:52 PM If that lineup is true then it sure is good to see Dalglish is being honest with the press about no injuries incl Agger and Johnson

Just because they're fit enough to be in the squad dosen't mean they have to play. Fergie is the king of saying players are injured then they line up come kick off! Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: kinboshi on October 15, 2011, 08:03:00 AM If that lineup is true then it sure is good to see Dalglish is being honest with the press about no injuries incl Agger and Johnson huh? Just because they're fit enough to be in the squad dosen't mean they have to play. Fergie is the king of saying players are injured then they line up come kick off! Liverpool victory would see them move to within three points of leaders United, who are sweating on the fitness of defender Nemanja Vidic. "The big question mark is whether [he] is ready for the game," Ferguson said. "He's certainly had his first game for Serbia on Tuesday, played a full game, so it's certainly a consideration because he's such a good competitor. "He came in [on Thursday] and felt OK. But the Liverpool game is such an intense, draining game that you want everybody to be 100% so it may be more down to how he feels himself really." Just because they're fit enough to be in the squad dosen't mean they have to play. Fergie is the king of saying players are injured then they line up come kick off! There is no way in the world that Johnson in particular shouldn't play if he is fit. Dalglish is doing the opposite of what you are talking about with Fergie. Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: redarmi on October 15, 2011, 12:12:21 PM Stunning team from Fergie. More I think about it the more I like it though. 9/4 United by gametime???
Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: George2Loose on October 15, 2011, 12:18:52 PM Just wow. Fergie loves spicing things up. He knows if we don't get a result that the team selection will be battered but just puts out the team he thinks will do the job.

Title: Re: Liverpool v Man U Post by: redarmi on October 15, 2011, 12:43:39 PM Didn't Dalglish say. "Everyones fit" the reporter then reeled off a couple of names and he just answered "yes"? Did I miss a comment somewhere?
