Title: Interesting spot in a live Super Turbo Bounty Post by: JK on October 18, 2011, 04:43:38 PM Interesting spot came up on the final table of a £25+£5 Super Turbo Bounty comp at Alea Notts.
Blinds are 12 mins long, and we are at the 4k/8k/800 level. 5 left, all paid. Each knockout is worth £5, and the person who gets the most wins a £50 bonus. Prizes are 250, 160, 120, 60, 30. The average chip stack is 60k. We are dealt xx on the button. Our stack is 100k, and we are the chip leader. UTG shoves for 16,100. UTG+1 folds, action on us. BB has 8k invested and 13k behind, so 21k total. We are 100% sure he is getting it in blind. SB has around 50k. What is our rejamming range here? What do we do with: A) Aspades 2d B) Ahrt 2h C) Kd 5d D) 7c 8c E) 4s 5s F) 9d Tc G) 2d 2c Title: Re: Interesting spot in a live Super Turbo Bounty Post by: Boba Fett on October 18, 2011, 05:14:57 PM Depends how competent/nitty the SB is. If I thought he will only call it off with a fairly tight range Id probs rejam A/B/C/G and maybe F and D depending on how close to the bounty bonus we are.
If the SB is capable of ranging you properly or is just a station that will call it off light Id probs just fold everything on that list Title: Re: Interesting spot in a live Super Turbo Bounty Post by: JK on October 18, 2011, 05:27:25 PM Details I left out on purpose till someone brought it up :P.
SB is BPinder on here, Brett Pinder. I think hes calling capably normally, but in this spot he is very aware of ICM (I know its a bowl of rice comp, but still). I felt like he was calling fairly tight, although if he does find a hand its not a disaster, as we are left with 50k. If we do get it in with the BB and UTG and win, we are then in a position where we can win the bonus. However, if we dont get these 2 bounties, it is impossible to win it. Title: Re: Interesting spot in a live Super Turbo Bounty Post by: Longy on October 18, 2011, 08:17:13 PM I shove with every hand I think, typically sb will call very tight in this spot.
We are putting 21k into win 45k, so getting over 2 to 1 and an overlay with the bounties and the bounty bonus. Against two randomish hands (admittedly utg would probs fold real garbage) in each option we have a hand that rates to have enough equity to justify the pot odds we are getting. Plus winning this hand gives us half the chips in play 3 handed, which is pretty sweet.
