Title: Re: modern warfare 3 Post by: Bongo on October 26, 2011, 07:51:29 PM I'll say I won't buy it and then end up cracking on release day... Bought Blops from Best Buy last year for £25 on release day, no queues or anything (apart from getting out of the car park, but that wasn't to do with the game).
Title: Re: modern warfare 3 Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 26, 2011, 08:07:24 PM Com thing is that the last one wasn't even that great a game, a good one yes. But not a great one.

Title: Re: modern warfare 3 Post by: ManuelsMum on October 27, 2011, 07:42:04 PM these type of games have limited longevity :( MMORPG4win. Counterstrike=crack I see where you're coming from, it does at first seem a bit 'same samey'. Counterstrike is, however, at least 10 different games now. (I'm not sure how you code different games into maps, but they manage to do this). So the ones I've seen so far that I like are: Warcraft Source (Choose a class, gain XP from kills/bombs etc, spend XP to buy invisibility, lightning, teleports, damage-leeching, turning yourself into an oildrum etc). Breakfloor: each team starts on either side of a wall, the floor consists of a large array of cubes, each of which can be broken with bullets, to allow you to tunnel into the other side. Zombie Horde: pretty self-explanatory, run like hell, shoot the zombies, if you get bitten you join them Gun game: the best, probably most popular, Valve are going to make it an official add-on. You don't buy anything at the start, you just head straight into the action, every time you make a kill (or 3 kills), your weapon levels up. Extremely fast-paced, brutal, no waiting around. Still plenty of strategy though. I think BlackOps has gungame too. YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkhuZ_eiThY I've always been interested in the idea of MMORPG, I go to the big review site often, but can never find one that really suits me. Real world badness, GTA kinda style. Or a nice modern multivehicle sprawling wartime one. Title: Re: modern warfare 3 Post by: titaniumbean on October 28, 2011, 04:00:19 PM Sigh when is this out, Deus Ex took up a chunk of grinding time, and Battlefield 3 is out today and i'm installing now so I may never play poker again (saves me maneys imo).
Title: Re: modern warfare 3 Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 28, 2011, 04:02:10 PM Deus Ex was piss poor. Skyrim and Batman better be good.
Title: Re: modern warfare 3 Post by: titaniumbean on October 28, 2011, 04:08:02 PM Deus Ex was piss poor. Skyrim and Batman better be good. Meh Deus Ex wasn't a disgrace but wasn't quite what I was hoping for, it was fun enough to play through once or twice though. I'd almost rather go back and play Deus Ex 1 though which doesn't really say much for a new game. I'll probably succumb and go grab one from there (or Asda or somewhere). Title: Re: modern warfare 3 Post by: pokerfan on November 04, 2011, 04:40:57 PM No idea where/if i'll be working on Tuesday so ordered on Amazon for full whack. (Blonde link though so alls good)

Only had an hour or so on it mind. One thing that might not be the best decision is the weapon training thingy, just seems odd that you get kills with a gun to unlock attachments and make it better. We'll see on that one. The support kill streaks are great for my play style (i.e. CHARGE!) and are the type of things I'd use anyway. There's another type of streak I haven't unlocked yet, sounds like it might be something nicked from altitude though - i.e. you get more perks as you get more kills. Agreed, getting used to trying to play this at an upwards angle hurts like hell tho :( Title: Re: modern warfare 3 Post by: millidonk on November 08, 2011, 08:51:45 PM Onine payed online mode, graphics might actually be worse than before, gameplay is pretty much the same. Getting schooled by a load of French kids and am just in general an angrier person from now. No broken controllers yet though. Seems to be a fair few disconnects as well.

Heard the best way to level up is to use the specialist streaks and hardline, so I'll give that a go later. |
