anyone still playing battrick just noticed i can now create a compertion so no work needed upto 12 teams in a league and doesnt effect fitness levels

anyone wanting to play this let me know and i will get one set up if enough intrest

I hated FTP - couldn't get into it at all.

The franchise feature they've just announced is interesting for next season.  You can basically have a 2nd team which starts from scratch, subject to a few restrictions.

It'd be a good start point for a blonde comp as everyone would start equally, and we've got plenty of time to get it sorted too.

only problem with franchise for the blonde cup is not everyone has the membership i have so no problem for me

I still play Battrick, so would be up for this.

are we going to play main teams or franchise teams? with it not using fitness i dont see a problem with any

I don't see why we can't start something going sooner with main teams, although we may need to figure out a way to handicap them.

Franchise teams, when they come in, will be a great way to start from a level playing field, assuming that everyone is a member and can access them.  They'll also be less impacted by cup runs (not that this affects my main team these days - haven't had a decent run in about 5 seasons).

Sheriff cup run won't effect it as you can do it on none cup days now. Start of season will be good for me as I have game every day till.then

Was this suppossed to be a "B Team" comp? just seems people not putting out the same class of line up as the previous comp - hope I have not missed a communication somewhere.

No all comps are play who you want, Friendlies don't use up any fitness now so these are just for bragging rights and income

My team aint too bad, far better than the first couple of blonde battrick comps when I was only just starting. Fk'ed my trainees up first couple of seasons though and never got 1 or 2 superstars.
Batting been okay in these but my bowlers seem to struggle. Should probs look at the transfer market as I have £17m in the bank

17Million????  ffs how did you manage that?  I think I get too attached to players that I should sell on.

Had over 20 but bought a batter that hasnt lived up to expectation.
Keep a small squad and generally sell players that get to a level that offer a decent profit, but are getting too expensive on the wage front.
I play in low leagues so sell out most games.

Anyone think it ridic that only top team go up in 20/20? Every team that comes down to my league romp it each year

Nope join up, your team will be on a par with those of us who have just started franchises

None set up for the franchise teams yet will set one up at start of new season which is just a cpl of weeks away

btw the teams in grey in your leagues are bots and dont have a manager and a beginners team will hammer them

How have people done this season? I have got promotion in FC and just managed to staff in OD league after promotion last season. BT20 will never go up or down by the looks of it!!!

need 1 point to gain FC promotion which was my aim also got OD promotion locked unless i lose real bad and other results go against and i have to face a play off 3rd in bt20

been trying to get out of fc for along time so real happy

problem i have at the moment is my bank balance is losing money week in week out and i am below 1 million in back now so going to have to do something with wages for next season

Need one more win to get automatic promotion in OD and finally escape my division after 13 seasons in there.  Defeat or a draw would put me in a play-off rather than an auto-promotion.

Got promotion in FC and BT20 last season and managed to stay up in both leagues this year, which was as much as I hoped for.

season is about 16 week, you need to win to promote best records auto promote worst records go for a play off

It's my franchise team, so it should be competitive.  It's only been in existence since the start of Feb, so won't be a walkover by any means.

he has but a cpl of weeks ago they started a franchise system those players who play for membership get to run a 2nd team
our 2nd teams will be of the same standard as the team you was assigned as we got them about the same time

so when we start the franchise league you will have as good a chance as us all

I've sent you a 2nd challenge from the original team so that you can see the difference! It'll be worth the hammering as it should draw a bigger crowd and a few more £'s in your coffers from your share of receipts.

yeah i tried to give him one a few days ago to do that too

A bit of friendly advice:

I don't care what his stats are but get rid of the guy you signed who's wages are £26k per week.  You can't sell him as you have him for 6 weeks minimum term so just fire him.  You can't afford him in your team and I doubt he's of any value anyway.

What's his stamina rating?  I suspect it'll be either worthless or abysmal, in which case he's absolutely worthless to your team.

dont worry about home friendlies you get 50% of the gate no matter what

Keep franchise teams and new starters in a separate league.

As for the main league, set one up and then possibly look at ways to handicap it so that everyone can compete for the title (handicap via point starts in the league, rather than any artificial rules in-game such as limiting wages or BTR).

well i wont be accepting any handicap till i see what sort of a squad i have at start of season lol

I'm one of the worse teams on blonde but well established on battrick
When you make friendly challenges, play away against established teams. There will be a bigger crowd so you get more money. When starting out every £ is crucial

I think I upset Ironside's team with a couple of victories recently, judging by the hammering they gave me in a friendly today.

Sneaked a narrow win vs butterpaws in the blonde BT20 and now go immediately into a FC fixture against him tomorrow as we've ended up in the same division.

So 2 blonde rivalries in the main comps for this season - Athletico Foxy in OD and butterpaws in FC.

Sigh, won't look at todays result now that I have seen this spoiler....... ;D ;D ;D

Got beat in the bt20 today didn't help that I forgot to assign my team after the mess up last week

There's a formula for proportion of seats which you should apply.  Do a google search and you'll find the info easily enough.

I see we can now reschedule Friendlies for spare weeks if anyone can move games forward please do save people hanging on for games

Why do only 1 team in a league of 12 get promoted in BT20? every season team that comes down is ridic strong and goes straight back up
