Absolutely terrible.

Seems that the distraction of a nearby fireworks display could have been a big factor.

Sounding a bit like a bonfire at the fireworks display put on by the Rugby Club put a curtain of thick smoke all over the road. Driving along merrily at 70mph in perfect visibility, suddenly you can't see a thing. You brake, and then everyone behind you runs into you.

I live in Taunton and it has been a very sad time for all of us some of us have lost some good friends

I commute 5 days a week between Taunton and Exeter and as for perfect visibility...............well..............  a very thick fog came in around half seven and there were several accidents on the minor roads as well, so to blame a firework display seams the easy route out. If this is classed as the reason then why did it not happen another 15 miles down the motorway with a bigger bonfire and bigger fireworks clearer conditions and closer to the motorway than the rugby ground. Cant blame the drivers can we????

I hope the reports of chants by the Chesterfield fans to Yeovil fans on saturday was just twitter rumour.
