Title: Overbet c/rs otr make me sad Post by: muckthenuts on November 07, 2011, 12:24:45 AM It's like 4 hands in so no reads on his play but based on broad generalisations on his appearance he's young and doesn't seem like he's clueless. We're like £500 deep.
EP opens to £6, i call behind another person on the button with Qs 9s. SB calls. Flop Qc 4s 3s three checks to me i bet £18. The SB is the only caller. Turn Qd and we go check check. River 5d and i bet £25 when checked to. He very quickly makes it £150. I'm thinking for approx 2.5-3 mins then he calls the clock. I have three cards that are the same but it's a bluffcatcher. Thoughts on what gets here, what he thinks i have, his river sizing, and his quick clock call? you can actually find severak decet reasons to call here, but readless this really should be a fold Title: Re: Overbet c/rs otr make me sad Post by: pleno1 on November 07, 2011, 09:32:58 AM bet turn.

Title: Re: Overbet c/rs otr make me sad Post by: Leedszilla on November 08, 2011, 08:51:01 AM Well with regards to your question about what he thinks you have, I think it's pretty unlikely he thinks you have the hand you have. When you check back the turn, your most likely holdings for me are, in no particular order:
1) Two spades 2) Complete air 3) Made house with 44/33 Given that that's the case, he shouldn't really be check/raising for value with 67, so your biggest questions involve what you think he's likely to play pre-flop, and what he's likely to check/call the flop with. Is he the kind to flat from the SB with Qh 3h? Would he then flat the flop with any set/2 pair? One hand that makes some sort of sense is Qh 5h, but by not betting the turn you make it pretty hard to conclusively put him on anything. In your spot I'm just going to ask the question is this player capable of making this move in this spot? If so then I'm going to try and bluff catch.
