Title: Teens Helping the Elderly - VOTE PLEASE!!!

Please vote vote vote vote! :) need to get into the top 10 before Friday to be in with the chance to win the 3000 euro and we are behind by less than 100 votes!
:)

Sarah is one of many teenagers who volunteer their spare time to help their local elderly through a group called the Social Action Group.  They're constantly trying to raise more funds and this video campaign is just another of those ways.

Sound isn't great on the video, but it's basically telling you what they're about.  Sarah and I can answer any questions you have here if you'd like but it costs nothing to click on the stars and vote for them.  Much appreciated everyone!!!

Votes don't have to be individual, do they?

Don't think so because it seemed to let me click more than once yesterday.   ;)  Cheers!

Cheers everyone!  They've slipped down to 25th spot since she posted yesterday so obv other groups are pushing hard too.  Keep clicking folks.  Lots of votes to get and only a few days to get them.  I've posted on Facebook as well, so fingers crossed.

It's the stars thing we click on is it?  I seem to be able to vote again, then again with leaving the page.

Yeah.  Only thing being, I've just discovered the higher the stars click you give them, the more the vote counts.  It's an 'averages' thing or summat.  So click on the 5th star to give them a 5star rating, despite the fact ya can barely hear the damn thing.   rotflmfao

would voting the others down not be more effective then?

Edit; Obv this might be against the spirit of this charity malarky...I dunno...I was born close to the Swiss border so my idea of "helping the elderly" might be slightly different from yours

Voted, but I don't think multiple votes count, unless the leaderboard is updated manually or sumthink. Total votes don't go up after the first one.

You're right Rex;

You are allowed to vote once per 24 hours, per video/hero. When you vote, the system remembers your IP address and time of vote. Voting is allowed once per day per IP address (as outlined in the rules).

Yeah, just spotted that whole rule thing meself.  Barstewards.

Not sure voting down the rest helps though.  Some percent of something is better than zero percent of nothing.  Ask Red...he knows all about that stuff now.

Thats the overall list, we probably wont reach top of that but we are 11th in our seperate category and are trying to push into the top ten. Didn't hear any news about it today but will get back to ye tomorrow with the updates. Thanks for voting! :)

In that case - KEEP VOTING PEOPLE!!!  They've bumped up a few places in the larger category so we might just squeak them through in the smaller one.

Star, cheers!

That chart's for the voting overall.  They're actually vying for a spot in a smaller category (according to Sarah's post) so we're not to take notice of the large scale rating chart.  Would make sense because the groups in the top spots on that big one are mostly from large cities like Dublin and Cork and we'd struggle to compete with them.  Rathmore is just a small village so they're doing well to have as many votes as they do right now.  And we've you lot to thank for a good few of them.

That's the problem when helping the elderly. Those old codgers don't know how to do anything on a computer so can't vote for you.

Screw helping the elderly, give 12 YOs a new Xbox or something every year and tell them to vote.
