Did they do a deal 3 handed?

I'm sure Ben Lamb will gain from that deal if it happened, both from the fact he was 3rd and that he will pay less tax.

If you are from a country that taxes winnings, why would you not try and negotiate a deal?

i have it on pretty good authority that no 3handed deal was done.

I also know benba had around 85% of himself, and hienz had 45%.

presumably you have to pay tax on your official payout as deals are not sanctioned and the us taxman isn't going to believe you. if they'd chopped 3 handed for 5.5m ish each and lamb had gone on to win the tournament he'd have taken home 5.5 minus about 3.6 in tax so would get less than if he didn't deal and finished 3rd

Which part is wrong though? Common sense tells me that what I've written can't be right but I can't see where the mistake is

Why is eoghan o dea getting taxed for his winnings? Didn't think Irish players got taxed on gambling winnings?
