Title: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... Post by: TightEnd on November 14, 2011, 01:52:17 PM a new UKOPS on the way, with events appearing in the lobby today, with satellites....
8pm 27 Dec Event 1 £15k gtd £110 buy in with 1rb/1a 8pm 28 Dec Event 2 £10k gtd Double stack £110 buy in 8pm 29 Dec Event 3 £25k gtd Bounty Hunter £110 buy in 8pm 30 Dec Main Event £50k gtd £220 buy in I am sure tikay will fill us in with more details when they are released Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS festival... Post by: mondatoo on November 14, 2011, 02:08:41 PM I have to say it's pretty disappointing. As the first one was a success, I expected there to be more events, not less. Any reason why the HR or the turbo have been cutout ? Pretty sure those that like the 4 card variety will be slightly disappointed as well. Also, the gte's for the first two events couldn't really be more conservative, didn't the £110 d/s get 200 runners in UKOPS 1 ?

Easy - this is UKOPS Xmas, which is basically something of a festive pressie from the people at Sky Poker. It's going to be a busy time for poker players, what with all the repeats of Only Fools and Horses and The Snowman, so we wanted to make sure you were all kept company through the festive period by some bumper tourneys. Our intention with the 'full-blown' UKOPS as I am calling it in the office is the same. What is that? Well we can't tell you everything but expect some news on that in first few weeks of January.... Post by: tikay on November 14, 2011, 06:49:46 PM Mondy. Tighty has explained it pretty well. This is just, in truth, an interim "Mini-UKOPS". The full blown UKOPS will return. Sooner than you expect, & more frequently..... UKOPS ticked all of it's commercial boxes, & some, & lessons were learned, too. Some major software upgrades which are in late stage Testing should also be ready for the next "proper UKOPS". Big thanks to you, & so many blondes, who supported the first UKOPS. Hope we can repeat that next time. Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... If they put some normal 9 handed events on I might consider playing. Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... Post by: tikay on November 15, 2011, 05:55:52 PM Is sky still mostly 6 max? Cba with it if that is the case. it's all 6 max yes sir. Tut! If they put some normal 9 handed events on I might consider playing. The site has always strongly favoured 6-Max. We have 10 seat capability, & still have 10 handed Tables, both Cash & Tourney, but because of our history, they are very lightly used. I don't believe we will ever include anything except 6-Max in UKOPS. It's part of our underlying "message" to the wider poker world really. "We are a 6 max site". Can't believe we are going to have to cope without you, Woodsey! Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... Post by: tikay on November 17, 2011, 04:26:47 PM It looks like (not 100% agreed, but "very likely") all 4 of these will now be Televised "live", though only until Midnight, or 1am best. If unable to show the end, the Final Table Highlights will be shown the next day. Pleasing some of the people, some of the time........ Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... good luck all, should be fun. Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... Post by: tikay on December 14, 2011, 01:34:18 AM Quite like the software, but 6 max sucks so bad... Have money deposited but will probs just leave it there I hate it so much...please please please get 9/10 seater tourneys on!!! They already have 10 Seater Tourneys, Sergeant Sir. Hardly anyone plays them, though, it's really a 6-max Site, that's what the players want, & go for. Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... Post by: pleno1 on December 14, 2011, 03:22:55 PM looking forward :)

Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... Post by: tikay on December 29, 2011, 07:14:13 PM what was the numbers like for event 1? I have been on Holiday, so I'm not 100% up to speed yet, but I believe..... Event 1, Guarantee £10,000, it made about £19,000. (121 runners @ £110 + rebuys) Event 2, Guarantee £10,000, it made £17,200 (172 runners @ £110). Tonight's UKOPS Event 3, 8pm kick off (£25,000 G'tee Bounty Hunter, £110) needs 250 runners, currently has 119 runners with 50 mins to kick off. Tonight's "Main Sidey" is ALSO a BH, & ALSO kicks off @ 8pm, costs £33, & has a Guarantee of £20,000, so needs around 670 runners to cover Guarantee, it currently has 380 runners. There is more likely to be overlay in this, than in tonights UKOPS Main, imo. Title: Re: Sky Poker's new UKOPS Xmas festival... Post by: paulhouk03 on December 29, 2011, 07:18:42 PM im in :)
