6 handed game I'm on the button with  8c  9c utg+1 opens to 15 villain calls I call one blind calls. Flop is   3h  8s  6s checked around to me and I bet 35 into 45. Blind and OR folds villain raises to 90. I think at the point it's pretty standard to put him on a set or a flush draw he is youngish and probably ok but doesn't seem too tricky. Turn is the  Td villain checks. You...?

Still hilarious. Who knew one comment several months ago in jest basically about not educating fish at the table would provide so much material. :)

On the turn I bet 120, (too small?) and villain pretty much insta raises to 260. Now I am confused.

i'd check since our hand can improve and he may bluff the cards which improve us. As played id probably fold.

well i bet because i expect to never get double craised by a competent reg (is this live though?) as a bluff because they never expect me to b/f a value hand.

this.  + we get value from some combo draws tht dont want to b/f the flop with such equity and are probably the open hand tht c/jams the turn after flop action

Bet seems bad because you're turning your hand into a bluff but you can legit expect to get him off better 8x hands. Td hits your perceived range pretty hard imo

one of my general rules for live poker is when people who are semi decent takke bizarre lines they have it more often than not
