Title: Japanese racing
Post by: ManuelsMum on December 19, 2011, 12:44:36 AM
Just a bit of (very random) fun.

NEW ENTRANTS BEING ACCEPTED

You have 1000 blonde dollars roll to bet as much or as little as you like on a series of races (circa 6) (different runners/racer) all at evens.

At the end the person with the most money (boldie imo) gets to choose the avatar and sig of the person with the least, for the month of January.

Race 1

CHOOSE A RIDER AND STAKE, post below.

Good thinking. Out of fairness to those who don't, I was thinking of making a nominal live update donation open a B$1M credit line. Your balance restarts with whatever you had before you made the donation, but you still have the credit line. You can go, e.g., a million up by winning with the credit line, but you can also go behind by that amount. You cannot open another credit line until you have exhausted the first, gone busto again, and made another nominal donation.
By the end it is Top place v bottom place anyway. Whatcha think?

as far as I can tell you've just bet all your money on a race that's already been run. you didn't win but nor did anyone else, it was won by an elephant who doesn't appear to have been available  to back. this is really confusing

You have 1000 bux and you can bet any part of it on one of the riders shown before the race. If you win, you win at evens.
No one has seen the races so as good as if they haven't run.
The winner was Trojan, had elephant inside it innit ;) You can see the point where he breaks out.

I'll tot up the scores and prepare the next runners.

Congrats to LeedsRhodesy, nice call.

New players can enter at any time.

This gave birth to a 100 entry discussion on my FB about cockney 'numbers'.  Was doing ok but 'Commodore' stumped me completely, too many levels!

I'm gonna put your bag on Race 2 mate, have you picked the runner winner yet?

This has nothing to do with racing, I'm just stalling.

Rogers: "This is a composer. German by birth, English by adoption. Best known for an oratorio published in 1741. It was called Messiah. You're bound to know his handle."
Female contestant: (presses buzzer) "Oh God, I used to have it at school... Handel's Water Music..."
Rogers: "So who's the composer?"
Female contestant: "Chopin?"
(audience shrieks in disbelief)
Rogers: (shrugs shoulders and turns to other team) "So I can offer it to you."
Male contestant: "Beethoven?"
