Title: Monte Carlo Exit Hand
Post by: Eso Kral on December 19, 2011, 11:29:51 AM
Driving back to Essex was not sure if I made a bad shove to exit the MC what do we think?

Villain is Mark Chantler who has been solid for the few hours we have been on the same table and has been in involved in a few pots with Sam Mcdonald and come off fairly even, villain 2 had been up and down and been in loads of pots and has just doubled the hand before back up to 190k but has not shown down any bad holdings.

I was short stack at start of day and got a double through over jamming a Mcdonald ep raise with  4d 4h for 21bb's and getting there vs sb  Ks Kh and since then I have 3 bet a mp raise with  Ahrt Qd otb and got a cbet through on a K63 board but lost a pot vs villain 2 when he was short and jammed mp for 28bb's and i had  7d 7h in the bb losing to his  9c 9s, since being back to 15-20bbs I have jammed and won 2 uncontested pots vs Sam but had pairs both times although not shown.

Mark's playing 250k
Villain 2   190k
Me 42k

58 left   27 paid

Blinds 1200/2400/200
Mark raises to 5100 utg and villain flats utg+2 and it folds to me with  Ts Qs in the BB
Its an ok shove yh?

Very bottom of our range imo.

Are you on the BB? Dont think you mentioned how many people left to act behind you!

If UTG is solid how wide do we expect him to raise from UTG?

From your info I think UTG+2 is calling to wide to make this a shove.

I fold.

Sorry amended the BB
I think UTG raises most  Ax here and all pp
UTG+2 calls all pp 22-99 imo and rr AQ+ 1010+

yeah - i remember when i read the update thinking "ewwwwwwww dont like"

its still my opinion tbh. I mean i probably isnt terrible, but live i hate it.

just fold, you have 20bbs and a better spot will present itself

depends on dynamic but again not terrible - it would have to be vs a serial opener

Sometimes when people open utg I level myself into thinking they're stealing from the "new button"

In my experience this happens so much less than people think. Just fold.

Almost certainly a fold. I might go with something like 77+ ATs+ AJo+ KQs

28bbs isnt that short, did he open shove 28bbs from MP or jam over a raise or raise/shove v your 3bet? how did you range him at the time?
