Title: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: Woodsey on December 19, 2011, 05:47:00 PM Was alerted to this site on the back of the Korean Leaders death, thought it would be a bit of fun to predict who might pop their clogs in 2012.
I'm gonna go for Bruce Forsyth :-X Who else do you think might pop their clogs in 2012? http://www.deathlist.net/ Title: Re: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: celtic on December 19, 2011, 05:50:30 PM Sigh, I got into trouble for running one of these at work about 12 years ago. £1 per week from about 20 people, took ages for it to be won. Think Barbara Cartland it was that scooped about £600 for the lucky winner.
Title: Re: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: GreekStein on December 19, 2011, 05:58:23 PM he had doyle brunson on that list and doyle gave him like 10/1 on 1k or something that he wouldnt die that year. Doyle didnt (obv) and the money went to charity.

Title: Re: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: Graham C on December 19, 2011, 06:00:25 PM Used to do a "Dead Pool" comp on another forum where you'd pick 10 and get points for every year under 100 they are when they pop their cloggs.

I just couldn't bring myself to participate in this in any way shape or form.
I just couldn't imagine predicting, guessing or funking someone to die, nor can I see there being even the slightest pleasure or satisfaction in winning because someone has died. I read the obits all the time, bit I cant read the page in that link. The way it's contributors congratulate themselves when someone passes on makes my skin crawl. OK. As you were.... What if I started posting names of Blonde members on here and one of them dies next year. How would you/I feel then? Light Hearted? Very bad taste IMO. Title: Re: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: gatso on December 19, 2011, 09:52:30 PM there are plenty of threads I don't open cos I don't particularly like the subject. this isn't the same thing at all
a thread where people predict people's death then presumably come on to celebrate when the prediction comes in does not sit well with my view of what blonde is all about Title: Re: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: GreekStein on December 19, 2011, 09:54:50 PM there are plenty of threads I don't open cos I don't particularly like the subject. this isn't the same thing at all a thread where people predict people's death then presumably come on to celebrate when the prediction comes in does not sit well with my view of what blonde is all about agree Sigh, I got into trouble for running one of these at work about 12 years ago. £1 per week from about 20 people, took ages for it to be won. It will probably just drift down the list of threads and be gone soon anyway. Title: Re: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: DaveShoelace on December 24, 2011, 12:27:31 AM Yeah I was pretty freaked out when I saw the news, genuinely hope he pulls through and into 2012.
Not the first celeb death bok of the year for me, anyone who saw me on skypoker about 6 months ago will have seen me pull off a cracker of a liz Taylor joke about 4 hours before she died. (unfortunately sky repeated the show for a week so anyone who caught it later will have thought we were mocking the dead) Title: Re: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: DaveShoelace on December 24, 2011, 12:30:01 AM If I do have powers, I should at least do the decent thing and talk about kanye west.

Infact, whenever she does go it will be the best day ever. Title: Re: Celebrity Deathlist 2012 Post by: celtic on December 24, 2011, 01:43:00 PM Too many negatives itt, don't look at it as willing someone to die, look at it as wanting the others to live for a very long time ;)
