Title: Festive football Post by: Josedinho on December 20, 2011, 09:50:26 AM Thought it might be a good idea to have 1 thread over the Christmas period with football being played on so many different days.
Tonight is the Sack Match in the North West. I fancy Blackburn to win as I still don't think they are as bad as results show. They look pretty short though. Vukcevic @ 20's and Yakubu @ 5's first goal with Fred hoping that their "Double Delight/Hatrick Heaven" offer lands. Any thoughts on Wolves. Norwich have done well recently but Fletcher is back now and this has to be one of the games they identify as winable. Also what price would you make Spurs and Chelsea to score the 20,000th prem goal? (18 to go) Title: Re: Festive football Post by: TheChipPrince on December 20, 2011, 10:11:44 AM So you need 17 or less in 9 before thurs, 3/1 - 7/2 maybe
Title: Re: Festive football Post by: doubleup on December 20, 2011, 10:37:13 AM So you need 17 or less in 9 before thurs, 3/1 - 7/2 maybe hmmm think it will be a lot higher than that, the average goals per match this season is almost 3. Based on that average I make it about 20-1 17 or less. Title: Re: Festive football Post by: shedboymuff on December 20, 2011, 10:45:46 AM tone of live football next few weeks ;popcorn;
the only disappointment will be listening to that c0nt Gary Neville on sky sports.. boring player boring as fock commentator Title: Re: Festive football Post by: TheChipPrince on December 20, 2011, 10:46:18 AM So you need 17 or less in 9 before thurs, 3/1 - 7/2 maybe hmmm think it will be a lot higher than that, the average goals per match this season is almost 3. 4/11 tomorrow night, 3/1 in the Spurs/chelsea game, 8/1 boxing day Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Josedinho on December 20, 2011, 11:10:38 AM I really like the look of the 4/11!
Spurs and Chelsea were both 150/1 to score the 20,000th goal with Sky yesterday. Only managed to get £1 on each but certainly thought it was a longer shot than 3/1 that it was one of them. Title: Re: Festive football Post by: doubleup on December 20, 2011, 11:27:37 AM If you look at the under over 2.5, the average expected goals in the 9 matches is 2.7. I just cant see how less than 18 goals is that price. I stll make it 20-1 on
edit sorry about 7-1 on Title: Re: Festive football Post by: craigbetts on December 20, 2011, 11:46:40 AM tone of live football next few weeks ;popcorn; the only disappointment will be listening to that c0nt Gary Neville on sky sports.. boring player boring as fock commentator I disagree, he speaks alot of sense although I expect most people do not give him a chance to begin with. Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Longy on December 20, 2011, 01:14:58 PM Yeah totally disagree about Neville. I am not his biggest fan as a footballer, but I think he is excellent on Sky.
Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Graham C on December 20, 2011, 01:59:20 PM Yeah totally disagree about Neville. I am not his biggest fan as a footballer, but I think he is excellent on Sky. I am not his biggest fan as a footballer, but I think he is excellent on Sky. If he wasn't so unbelievably biased he'd be a good commentator. But he is, so he can't be. Pin him down and shave off that excuse for a Moustache then we can discuss Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Karabiner on December 20, 2011, 07:28:04 PM I've gone for singles on Bolton @ 3.65 and Wolves @ 2.12 tonight.
Don't ask me why as it's purely on gut feeling. Very football savvy and occasionally controversial. Describing David Luiz as playing like he was being controlled by a 10 year old on a Playstation is hilarious, accurate and definitely not boring. Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Solaris on December 21, 2011, 11:54:39 AM Going for a Man U, Arsenal, Man City & Liverpool acca tonight. 5/1 with the bald *****. Fancy a ht/ft double with Everton - Swansea and QPR - Sunderland to both be a draw/draw. 20 quid wins 550. Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Sighmuns on December 21, 2011, 04:03:40 PM United a bit big at 1.85 at the moment? I'm struggling to see what problems Fulham are going to cause them.
As a Liverpool fan I know we lost recently at Craven Cottage, but that game could have been 1-4 Liverpool... Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Josedinho on December 21, 2011, 06:51:18 PM Yeh United and Arsenal both trying to tempt me in but no Song or full backs for Arsenal. Will probably back Swansea in some way too.
Few small plays on Vermaelen anytime @ 7's Suarez hatrick @ 33's Probably more after team news Title: Re: Festive football Post by: George2Loose on December 21, 2011, 06:53:08 PM I've had a mug accumalator for 50 quid:
Arsenal and Man city to win Everton and Newcatle games draws 26/1 Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Karabiner on December 21, 2011, 07:08:35 PM I can't have liverpoo @ 1.56 when Wigan have been playing pretty well lately.
I've layed liverpoo, and I've also bet Newcastle @ 2.02 both in singles. Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Josedinho on December 26, 2011, 01:52:57 AM Few early bets on tomorrow -
Newcastle DNB @ 11/10 West Ham DNB @ 11/10 Crewe DNB @ 5/4 A couple of muggy scorecasts that I got involved in when looking for a couple of bets for my old man to cheer on on boxing day Ben Marshall 1-0 Wednesday @ 66/1 Rob Jones 1-0 Wednesday @ 130/1 Walsall only been beaten by more than one goal on 2 occasions this season which isn't bad for a team in the relegation zone. Wednesday have the lowest goal difference of the top 5. Ben Marshall has had the most shots for Wednesday - he's also amazin. Rob Jones (I think) is joint top goalscoring defender in the league on 4 goals (tied with Reda Johnson) Sleeping on Sunderland, Stoke, West Ham, Charlton Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Horneris on December 26, 2011, 03:58:49 AM Not punting whilst in America but I have to say West Ham and Coventry both look a bit large @ 15/8ish.
Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Solaris on December 26, 2011, 05:26:50 PM Officially retiring from football betting! Was going to put in a sizable bet on Gillingham who I thought were far too big a price at 4/1 but couldn't find my bank card and was too late to get to the bookies. See Crawley go down to 10 men, curse my luck then feel happy seeing them go 1-0 up. Come back to have a look at the scores after 70 minutes or so and the Gills are winning and go on to win. FML.
Thank God the tennis season is back soon. Think Josedinho will be doing his nut after Wednesday's shocker today! Title: Re: Festive football Post by: doubleup on December 26, 2011, 10:28:44 PM also bet Newcastle @ 2.02 both in singles. grrrr was almost def going to bet newc - was at Luton Airport tho and couldn't find any recognisable form of wireless internet coverage................ Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Josedinho on December 27, 2011, 08:43:13 PM Think Josedinho will be doing his nut after Wednesday's shocker today! 2 games in a row and all the rivals won too. Annoying but not tilting. I decided last week we were top 2 pretenders.Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Josedinho on December 28, 2011, 08:42:01 AM Score win doubles on the old firm game
Hooper 4/1 Ki 16/1 Mulgrew 20/1 Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Matt.NFFC. on December 31, 2011, 09:20:06 AM Cardiff to win at Forest today, about 13/8.....we haven't scored a goal in 9 hrs ffs and are so bad.

I'm on Ipswich DNB @ evens, Yak to score @ 15/8 and Arsenal @ 21/20. Title: Re: Festive football Post by: redarmi on January 02, 2012, 02:33:27 PM I am on yak to score first @ 11/2, Bent to score 1st @ 5/1, Burnley @ 12/5 and Tranmere @ 9/2. Kinda like ipswich too and toying with the idea of betting Chelsea minus a goal at evens-ish.

Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Josedinho on January 02, 2012, 07:42:04 PM Bet365 offer on the Man City V Liverpool game tomorrow.
Liverpool had longer rest and Man City drawn 2 in a row but anyone else think the price is still good for a team with a 100% record at home? Title: Re: Festive football Post by: Skgv on January 02, 2012, 10:38:10 PM Bet365 offer on the Man City V Liverpool game tomorrow. Won 14 on trot at home an there cub record is 16, So i guess the bookies know the end is near for the 100% win record to come to an end so they are trying to lay them ! An with Citys form with no goals in 187 mins is a bit of a worry ! Liverpool had longer rest and Man City drawn 2 in a row but anyone else think the price is still good for a team with a 100% record at home? |
