Title: AQ
Post by: WPIL on December 29, 2011, 03:06:10 PM
Played 2 Hands with Villian where I have raised twice in position (once when he had 99 against my QQ but probably lost some value with a scary board)

yh bet flop bigger. lets just get some value from Q* and club draws.

personally I'd just chk this back and see if we cant river a club/get to showdown. would fold to a river bet on a brick

just generally usually cbetting the flop 60% - 70% in pots like these. As we get shallower (or in 3/4 bet pots) cbet sizes can go down to 35-55%.

check back this turn, although since we have the Ac its closer to a bet, we're hating getting raised and there aint much worse he'll call so defo check back imo.

and yeh fold river if he bets a brick.

if he checks a brick I might try and eek a value bet out, try and get called by worse Qx/ heroed by PPs.

Pretty much as above... Qtr pot is not enough.. 400 about right... Bet sizing one of the hardest things to get right.. Def check the turn...control the pot... River as above def value bet a check....

Agree bet bigger for value on flop and check turn. I would call 1/2 pot donk on brick river as played. Betting small 150 on the flop makes your oppos calling range quite distorted in $5 comp so 9-10/10-J plus all Qx and many random floats on this board texture are possible cos you make it so cheap. Then your check behind on turn invites a river donk from many of these holdings. Bluffs and blockers make up enough of his range to call 350 or something imo. Would fold to river lead if bet more on the flop.
