Title: Re: Blonde Bash Quiz Questions Post by: tikay on January 09, 2006, 03:06:25 PM A big up to Tighty for organising this, it took a LOT of hard work, & was a fantastic success. Next time, we are hoping to do it "Question of Sport" style, a "live" Quiz, with buzzers & stuff. The thing is, though, the Winners CHEATED. So did the runners-up. And the thirds, & 4th, & 5th, in fact, EVERYONE cheated, but it was good-natured cheating, if you get my drift, it was not sneaky cheating. The Format was we were sat in a lounge, & were given a sheet of Paper - "Round 1/2/3" etc, one round at a time, & given 10 minutes to fill the answers in. So, the biggest Cheats by far - The Scots - seemed to have a player who had either bladder or bowel problems, as soon as each round was given to the Team, he had to dash off to the Toilet. I became curious at this, so followed him on the 6th or 7th occasion. In the toilet he goes, mobile phone fired up, he was ringing a pub in Glasgow, relaying the questions, "google them & I'll ring back in 2 minutes".... It's TRUE, they admitted it. They got docked 20 points for cheating, & STILL won.... There were 10 questions per round - in 1 round, they got 11 right....... Bongo's Team, snoops & co - had a better method. They were googling the questions via mobile phone! I caught Bongo - who is an EXTRAORDINARY character - red-handed, never did a guilty person look more guilty "I was sending a text" says he, quickly pressing "CANCEL".......For those that have not met Bongo, WHAT a guy. He's about 7' tall, & has hair that, well, it just defies description. What a top bloke though. Red Dog's Team were much more subtle. They were swapping or bartering answers with other teams. "We can give you the answer to Q7 if you can give us the answer to Q3". Then giving them a deliberately WRONG answer.... "Tikay's joker" was an alternative round ANYONE could take if they wanted to substitute it for a Round they did not like. Prob was, the Scots took it early, & once they had handed it in, freely discussed the answers with everyone else, not realising we had not taken our "tikay joker" yet.... Hehe..... Tremendous - TREMENDOUS - fun. And the Scots were worthy Cheats. Sorry, Winners. They cheated the best. Answer from unknown team: Paternity test Title: Re: Blonde Bash Quiz Questions Post by: thetank on January 09, 2006, 07:16:04 PM So, the biggest Cheats by far - The Scots - seemed to have a player who had either bladder or bowel problems, as soon as each round was given to the Team, he had to dash off to the Toilet. One answer may have been obtained by us through a less than honourable method. It wasn't every round and it sure as hell wouldn't have made a difference to our inevitable triumph anyway. Rod, Laz and Teacake knew loads, very clever peeps. Dave played a stormer too, getting out of his chair every round to hand the answer sheet in. :D Title: Re: Blonde Bash Quiz Questions Post by: Indestructable on January 09, 2006, 07:26:44 PM I must admit that I thought you had this one wrong:
Who wrote the script for the 1968 film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? I thought it was Ian Fleming, but you were right although Ian Fleming wrote the book, Roald Dahl did write the script. Good job I checked before raising as it were. Title: Re: Blonde Bash Quiz Questions Post by: Colchester Kev on January 09, 2006, 07:39:09 PM Obviously I knew all the answers to ALL the questions, although in the interests of Anglo-Jock relations I decided to pretend not to know so the Jocks could have their moment of glory ;)

Title: Re: Blonde Bash Quiz Questions Post by: Colchester Kev on January 09, 2006, 08:04:34 PM I seem to remember the jocks getting that one ... although im sure one of the Jocks said that "Annie get your gun" is a phrase often heard in pubs in Glasgow ;)
