I'm on a posting roll now!

Recently moved to this table late in day, so no real reads, other than the three young players to my immediate right appear - based on their between hands chat - to be aggressive, experienced online types.  They're all fairly well chipped up.

Can't remember exact blinds, but pertinent point is that I start hand with approx 40bbs (villains have me covered).

Villain 1 (UTG) raises to 2x
Villain 2 (UTG+2 and table chip leader, I think) 3-bets to approx 5x
Hero (UTG+3) looks down at JJ...dwells....folds!

Is this far too tight, particularly given the - not really evidence-based - reads?
Thought of 4-betting to around 10x, but then do I fold to a shove?
Overcall just feels terrible (hand seems face up, do I simply fold when A,K hit flop?, do I get it in on low flop if 3-bettor leads out?)

Felt afterwards that this was incredibly weak/passive, but still no idea what line might have been best.  Any thoughts?

In a vacuum, would that be your standard line here with JJ in this comp against the average opponent, or is the bit of info I've provided on the villains relevant? 

I was expecting either opponent's 5-bet shoving range to be something like QQ+/AK, plus - I suppose - the very occasional bluff, but maybe that's too narrow.

This was a spot where I really felt a bit out of my depth playing in my first big buy-in event.   
   

I would shove or fold. It depends on your reads and the structure. I think the fold is ok.

I don't think the fold is terrible. 

It may not be 2006, but it is still an early position raise and reraise, and 40 BBs is still a lot in a tourney.  I am not at all convinced you are really going to have 3 online superstars in a row in a DTD deepstack.  Even if you did half of them are terrible nits too.

I'd be happier to get it in a cash game, in the 100 rebuy on stars, or if the raises were later.

Is the call really that horrific either?  Unless you are a complete station the call is going to look pretty scary to your oppos, and they aren't likely to reraise light?  I am not at all convinced it looks like face up jacks/AK these days.

whats your image like, and kinda importantly what do you look like?

The reason I ask is that whereas these two guys can both be EXTREMELY wide in this spot, if they are actually good then based on your image/appearance they may well not be 5bet jamming anything other than uber premium on you

But I'd be default 4b/calling here vs described villains and it's not too close imo, speshly as these young successful online types are sometimes not overly experienced at live poker and can spazz their brains out preflop 4/5 betting sometimes.

If you're old/nitty, cold 4betting and calling here would be a huge mistake.

If you're aware of your image I call and hope the UTG guy is capable of spazzing out/play a pot in position with a good hand.

Ig you just have a hunch they are aggresive because they are young folding would be better than 4b/calling imo.

I think it would be too early for them to have any read on me based on my play as hadn't been at the table long.  In terms of looks, mid 30s (maybe pass for a bit younger on a good day), dashingly handsome ( ;)), wearing jeans/trainers/t-shirt (and specs).  A competent riffler!

Yeah, I wasn't confident enough about their likely aggressive tendencies to feel happy 4 bet/calling and in fact pretty sure I might have talked myself into 4-bet/folding (!), which I realise would have been pretty horrific.

As it was, there was another huge dwell/fold behind me, initial raiser folded pretty quickly and 3-bettor flashed an ace...
