Action's taken place.

Carry on.

Try not to let it happen again.

for the next hand button moves back then forward twice

or just move the button on and one player doesnt pay for sb and a guy misses his bb

No need to over complicate it. Just carry on as if nothing happened.

Perhaps have a little moan at the dealer for his mistake but other than that the button's just skipped a place, so have the blinds and that's all there is to it.

First option 100%. Don't listen to Matt

Wouldn't it be better to carry on then when the button gets to that guy let him keep it twice?

I'd be having a moan at the player who moved the button and didn't mention it to the dealer.

no, better that everyone pays the same amount of blinds

it's only slightly odd if the blinds increase while this is going on

action has taken place, no other option.

one-three hand penalty to guy who moved the button. you're not the dealer, so get your hands off the button. easy.

Correct the button the next hand by taking it back one then go forward 2 the hand after, then everyone has paid the sb, bb and received the button in an orbit. (As Gatso said)

What should happen to the dealer?

How is anyone certain about what has actually happened?  Can't see how a definite ruling can be made by relying on players memories.

Well the ruling in Dtd was the button carried on as normal and the person on the button had to post a bb because he missed it

I was the guy who posted the bb on the button

Just thought it was bizarre
