Please can I play? I've always wanted to try it out. I'm 24, 6 foot 2, 17 stone (ish) and pretty athletic. I'm a fantastic catcher but a terrible thrower. I'm quite strong but not very strong. I see myself as a tightend, I think I could be most effective in a 2 tightend set up, like Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta for the Ravens. Or if that doesn't work, an offensive lineman perhaps. I see you more of a vince wilfork character myself my friend played safety for the Rams for a few seasons before he went to Hong Kong, I went to see about ten of his games and in fact I took my wife on our second date to see the Rams in action. Cant believe I got away with that but if you do want to play Dave that's a good place to start. Title: Re: American Football Coaching Post by: Newportlad on January 21, 2012, 09:32:22 AM Both Smileriraq (Paul) and myself played against the Yorkshire Rams in the early 90's.
Paul played Tightend, and i played Safety/Punt Return. Sadly, those days are long gone.
