nothing shown although we have tussled a few time nothing major taken place on the river here i was thinking of putting in a value bet but i can opnly beat KQ QJ and QT that might call and i better check calling to catch a bluff? Title: Re: river play Post by: muckthenuts on January 30, 2012, 10:20:44 PM I wouldn't raise the turn, it really doesn't achieve anything.

Just call call call. Title: Re: river play Post by: mulhuzz on January 30, 2012, 10:48:35 PM Think this is a check fold now..hes prolly not betting KQ otr after you raise turn. Turn raise has put us in an icky spot.
Title: Re: river play Post by: Ironside on January 30, 2012, 11:02:16 PM no worries it went check check and he turned up with KQ one of the few hands i could of seen me getting value from

Title: Re: river play Post by: mulhuzz on January 30, 2012, 11:27:05 PM Pretending we didn't raise the turn, is this a good river to donk blocker bet? Pretty sure it'd be for value, but prefer check call. Title: Re: river play Post by: Ironside on January 30, 2012, 11:30:25 PM what hands are we really worried about on turn obivous 99 and q9
but are we really worried about them QQ+ pre he 3bets maybe even as 3bet with 88+ so way hand had been played to turn surely we are most likely beaten by quads but are more likely facing Qx or possible someone floating JT Title: Re: river play Post by: pleno1 on January 30, 2012, 11:35:37 PM 2366/call flop, dont think its too close. He can check back turn and we lose value taking this line vs qx and our range is alot stronger when we call oop than when we 3bet as we have bluffcatchers vs Aq+ in the two ranges meaning he can spew 4b otf, sounds like perfect dynamic for it too.

Pretty sure it'd be for value, but prefer check call. Half value, half blocking. Bearing in mind he's flatted our open pre and raised flop, barrelled turn is he going to continue with the QX we beat or air again? Air is always a maybe but I'm pretty sure QT and QJ check back the river if we flat twice, maybe KQ as well. The flop was pretty dry, tough for him to continue betting with the lesser queens on the river after we call twice unless we are a complete station with tens/jacks. Title: Re: river play Post by: Ironside on January 31, 2012, 01:02:25 AM if i flat turn and he shoves river is it a call?
Title: Re: river play Post by: mulhuzz on January 31, 2012, 01:09:57 AM if i flat turn and he shoves river is it a call? Did we bet or check river? I'm prolly calling both btw, defo if checked to. Title: Re: river play Post by: Ironside on January 31, 2012, 01:16:02 AM i was oop i checked he checked behind
but if i flatted turn i think he might have shoved river |
