due to the new partnership between DTD and blonde there have been some changes. One of the areas is promotion of DTD's UK/Online competitors, not now allowed

"Some re-organisation of the existing Boards will take place immediately, & Tighty will fill you in on that.

In short, the existing Live & Online Poker Boards will disappear, non-promotional content on them will be moved to The Rail, or Lounge, as deemed appropriate.

The Staking Boards will be promoted to Main Boards in their own right, but remain otherwise unchanged.

Simon Trumper's "DTD News & Views" Thread will move to The Rail, though it may not remain in its present form.

Rob, Nick Whiten (currently on holiday), Tighty & myself will be meeting up in the next week or so to help draw up a formal Action Plan for the deal, & we'll keep you informed."

is the relevant section in http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=56712.0

No, as PS is a partner of DTD on UKIPT

If the series is from a provider not partnerred with DTD, eg the LVTC, then yes.

sigh, seems a little extreme, north korea  censorship. Will we be made to shed a tear if dtd doesnt reach a guarantee?

Of course not

Rob summed up the position as follows

1. DTD's UK competitors cannot spam on Blondepoker (no brainer, we cant drive traffic to our competitors - with the exception of DTD partners, SKY, Pokerstars, APAT, Redtooth etc etc)

Members can post about stuff, but reps can't

Suppose so. Just don't ask Mr Tapie to spam us

Sigh that we're going to get all the crappy threads such as this one: http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=56735.0 clogging up The Rail rather than being in Live Poker

Not so many, far more on Live Poker

Nowhere, preferably!

I realise it will be an adjustment for everyone, mods included, but Rob's view is perfectly understandable

Most will be deleted if commerical in nature.

we should 100% be able to have threads like LVTC, its part of what brings alot of blondes closer.

sunday threads etc seem like they should be there too.

shame stuff like hand of the day etc will be moved here too.

I think there needs to be more forums than there is currently, with almost everything going in the rail.

A diaries forum seems like a good idea, a DTD forum, don't see why there can't potentially still be an Internet Poker forum but keep an eye on content?

All possible, certainly. Going the route chosen for starters seemed like a good first stab at implementing what was agreed with DTD. We'll see how it oes

luton fantasy league is a thread started by a punter and isnt being used by the cardroom staff for spamming just by the punters that play there

so if a punter starts up a sunday thread it will stand of course but we would hope that some of the members would be playing on dtd of course

perfect, good to see a great decision :)

thats not the final say just my reading of the new way of working

obviously if someone with links to a cardroom starts a thread up about something on therre cardroom we will remove it but we shouldnt see much of a change in the online stuff mainly alot of the live stuff will be gone
after all DtD is paying for blonde

My announcement of the Deal was based upon my read of what Rob felt was within the spirit of the agreement. A certain amount of reading between the lines is required by all parties, & I set out what I felt was reasonable, & Rob has not quibbled with what I wrote, in fact he wrote to me & said "well written".

Here is the relevant part of what I wrote......

".......Not unreasonably, then, other Poker Venues will no longer be permitted to spam or promote their Tours or Events on blondepoker. They have, hitherto, been allowed to do this free of charge, so it's not that they have lost anything, except the right to promote on our Forum, to which they paid no cost. Rich will be contacting all the venue Reps who Post on here in the next few days to communicate this.

The same applies to Representatives of other Venues or Pros for Online Sites (with exemptions, as below), they will no longer be able to promote their wares here. Given the cash DTD are investing in blonde, its an entirely reasonable stance, in my opinion.

Common-sense will apply on this, people can Post & discuss any Poker Tour, Room, or subject, they wish, but not as commercial stakeholders of other Tours, Rooms, or Sites. If anyone wants to abuse that informal arrangement, we will ask them to desist.

Many Cardroom managers & Online Pros are also "regular" Members here. They are encouraged & welcome to continue as regular Members. A great example would be Gorgousuouuos George, from Luton, who holds dual citizenship as a Cardroom Promoter, & regular Member. He also plays at DTD, but would not be welcome up there if he left flyers on the Table advertising G-Luton. Same thing.

Another example would be Cos - remember him? - & Poker Encore, etc. Same as before, just common-sense, exactly as he does already, & it will be just fine....."

As far as I can see, the Thread is fully compliant.

I did, in fact, suggest later in the Thread that a DTD version of the Luton Threads would be a great idea, & I offered to add some value, personally if need be, by way of prizes, free Tourney entries, etc. If anyone decides to run such a thread - & I gave some advice as to what would be needed - my offer remains on the Table.

As to Online threads, again, common-sense should apply, but I'll chat with Rob or Nick & feel out their views.

Personally, & in an ideal world, I'd like to see the Sunday Threads continue. I'd prefer them to be labelled "The DTD Online Sunday Thread", & people could play in, & Post about, Tourneys on ALL Rooms, exactly as they do now. In the spirit of things, though, it'd be rather nice if the "Sunday Grinders" included  entering, & reporting upon, a few of the DTD Online Tourneys, too. All parties would be happy then, win win.

I need to seek DTD's views on it first, though, but I'm pretty sure they would be supportive of it, on the basis I proposed above. It seems, to me, a small price to pay, all things considered.

There is not rush to do anything, I know Tighty and TK are keen to get some DTD/Blonde initiatives and members will have ideas, but I've said that im kinda happy to just leave the status quo for a while, its a long term agreement, not really a commercial sponsorship deal, so their is no urgency to be doing anything new just cause DTD are involved in the financing of the forum, to be honest, the first DTD/BP job will be to sort a Blondebash out, which I will organise myself when I get time. Its just nice personally to get all the spam off from people/parasites that have paid f-all to BP or contribute to the content of the forum, yet have expected to be able to use the forum/database/pm system and didn't give a s-ite about BP when the Sky Deal wasn't renewed. So yeh, im sure people have plenty of ideas but not much is gonna change in next 3 weeks before the £250K GTE, need to get that self created problem out of way first!
