pmmg1991 won a big hand earlier when shoving over 2 guys with JJ.  They both had AK.

He lost half his stack a few hands later when raising and 3 barrelling with AK against QQ who just called all the way down.

He has hardly played a hand.

He has more possible pair hands than Ax hands no?

So I am rarely ahead.

Thats why I fold.  Too tight?

I am going to be posting lots of hands on here to get destroyed with a view of making improvements.

onlky time your in bad shape is when he has AA, if he has KK your ony 2-1 any other pair its 50/50 and other hand he has your dominating

I use this.  I still think Im behind v his range.  Will check it.

Incidentally chip leader just folded similar situation on the live stream 150 game.

sorry mate, my posts in the thread may not have been super constructive, call probably isnt enough.

The first thing we should do is assign the villain a range.

We should then check his range vs our hand. We should then consider pots odds.

Because of the fact that it is a huge shove, pot odds wont really come hugely into play.

In many tournaments villains will only shove aa or kk however in such small gauranteed tournaments the average range is always going to be wider.

Given the fact you have said his range could include aj and aq we are already a monster favourite, im on my phone atm so cant do the numbers unfortunately.

Even if the numbers come in quite close the fact that if you double you will have a decent stack is important as you will be able to give urself a better shot at going deeper where all the money is in small stakes mtts. However the decision wont be close and you should definitely shove.

One last thing even if we are close vs his range the fact we have blockers means that it discounts the times villain will have aa and kk and also the same hand as ourself.

also when doing ranges versus goofballs i give them a few occasional totally random hands to balance their range right as sometimes u just see something v.random/weird.
