take a flop and have a look at the texture before continuing, probably check folding an ace high flop.

I think a fold is the best choice here.
There is a possibillity that chico is flatting a monster. I dont think you are getting the correct odds to set mine. You will be out of position. If you go all in you will be either a big dog or a small favourite, never getting called by a hand that you crush.

I appreciate that Pleno. I did say there was a possibility. Perhaps i should have said 'a very small possibility'. That small possibility was a small factor in making me choose the fold option.
If we shove, we are almost certainly only getting called by JJ+ or AK. IF we call and dont hit a set, we are going to be in a difficult spot, out of position.
I'm only posting to try and learn a bit more about these spots. I recently downloaded HEM2 and, according to that, i'm losing loads with JJ. I do think it's a tricky hand, especially out of position. Which is why i opted for the fold.
If we call and fold, we've lost a pretty big chunk of our stack. (maybe hero should raise smaller too?)
I'm hoping thatyou and others will be able to offer some good suggestions as to the best way to proceed with this hand, in this spot.
                                                                                                                                            Cheers-Rage :)

i just shrug fold or lol jam depending on how session is going. Neither are going to be terrible imo.
